On July 7, 2001 a Daily Times article titled, "Ramsey suits disputed","Steve Thomas filed a motion Thursday 7-5-2001 to prevent his deposition by the Ramseys' attorney in another libel case filed against them. That deposition had been scheduled for Monday the 9th. At issue in that suit is a book written by John and Patsy Ramsey, which named a former housekeeper, Linda Hoffman-Pugh, and a Boulder County journalist, Chris Wolf, as suspects. Diamond said Thomas shouldn't have to be deposed more than once in the civil cases and questioned why Thomas should be a witness in the Wolf case. "Steve is no longer part of the investigation," Diamond said." |
