Colfax took took photos of a corpse with party favors. The photos are artworks, JT said. After that he was charged with destruction of property in Denver when he was was at a payphone on Logan and Colfax, and got upset because he couldn't hear a message from a guy and he angrily beat the receiver against the phone and was at once surrounded by seven police officers. After plea bargain arrangements, Colfax was charged with theft and served two years in the Boulder County jail that started on January 15, 1998 and Colfax was released on July 13, 1999. During his time in jail, Colfax wrote a daily diary over a 10 month period that was posted on the Internet and with the help of a friend at the time, Colfax became somewhat a side show celebrity as he maintained media communication within the Boulder County jail. |
