I have hesitated sending anything into this formum, but I kind of figure I have nothng to lose,
especially since I used an alias.
Last summer, Patsy Ramsey and I were both enrolled
in the same aerobics class.in Boulder. I had been
going to the class for a long time and knew a lot
of the "regulars." When Patsy joined, we all made
a real attempt to make her feel welcome.
A couple things stick in my mind: One, she went
to coffee with a few of us only once, and spent
most of the time looking worried and distracted. I
could tell we didn't have a lot in common--she was
sweet, but I couldn't get much substance out of her.
Second point: one day her car broke down and she
chose to call John R. rather than a garage. She
rarely spoke of him, and from what I had heard, he
detested being bothered at work. Patsy called him
on her cell phone and started crying re. her car.
I kept thinking, what's the big deal? What kind
of response are you getting from this guy, and if
you thought you would get a negative one, why not
just call a garage?
John Ramsey came to studio to pick up Patsy. He
looked grim, put-out, and gave her a perfunctory
hello. He did not bother even looking at me--
Patsy left, teary-eyed and appologizing profusely.
I kept thinking, get some balls. woman! I found
Patsy sweet and John cold, removed, reproachful.
Have wondered if she was the victim of abuse her-
self.

sorry I did not get on yesterday or earlier today
to answer any questions after discussing taking
aeorbics dance class with Patsy Ramsey. Felt
ill; am just slightly rebounding after some bug.
Sorry I can not add more about Patsy--as I said
yesterday a.m., her affect was sweet and I frankly
did not know she had a daughter in beauty contests. She was not what I would call a part-
curlarly chatty member of the club; I just found
it very interesting that John Ramsey's affect was
so nasty when he came to pick her up after class
when her car broke down--She wouldn't take me up
on an offer to drive her and she wouldn't call
a garage, yet she told me John would "hate being
interrupted." As I said yesterday, John R. was
rude, perfunctory, and hardly sympathetic to her
plight. She left teary-eyed, they didn't speak.
However, I do have two things to add: one in
reference to questions about feeling tone in
Boulder: Boulder residents are generally furious
that more news is not coming their way--we receive
as much information as you do. People seem split
on Ramsey's guilt--consensus seems to be that
there is complicity on both Ramseys' part--but
that somehow John killed his daughter and wife too
frightened to come forward. Other people swear
there's a "killer on the loose" and that no one
as "rich" as the Ramsey's could possibly be
involved in such a matter. Some logic, huh? I would also like to relay a fairly humorous story
amidst all this horror--
A family member worked for John Ramsey's co.
He told us of a time when John called in the
entire division in which this person was in
a management division. John had a list of complaints re. division's "free usage" of office
supplies, overuse of copier, and especially harped
on using too many pens/pencils from supplies. He
informed the division that they were now on a check-out alert, meaning that all copies made and
all supplies taken must be reported on paper before taking the liberty of "misappropriating."
He also informed the division that there were too
many phone calls being made and to please resist
the urge to call and e-mail instead. My son
heard about this and said to the family member,
"how's Snoop doggy dog today?" Had no idea that
this was in reference to a rap group, but thought
it funny that son came up with that nickname, which the family member continued to use among us.
I also know that memo was circulated in the company, at least in this particular division,
requesting people stay off the internet. My
family member found this fairly amusing since .
Bill Gates always encouraged the surf while
"Snoop" discouraged it, yet spent a great time
on it himself. That's about all I know--If I
can give you a good picture of what Boulder is like right now, there are hundreds of rubber-
neckers driving past the Ramsey house, which has caused a lot of anger among neigbors. Will try to keep you abreast of Boulder's "climate."
and would certainly encourage other Boulder residents to add to conversation. See you. Back
to bed.

thank you, Miss Marple, for including my earlier
thread re. Patsy and John's behavior at dance
class.
Regarding John R. addressing the division of his
company that he chose to reprimand for overusing
copier, internet, even pencils/pens, it is highly
out of character for an executive to personally
address his staff rather than either send a memo
or have a subordinate issue the news--I guess that
is why we found it so funny (this was long before
killing of JonBenet). As a supervisor myself, I
loathe having to address my staff on such matters,
not only because it is so time consuming, but it
is highly embarrassing for the recipients--I prefer memos, or I address the staff in private if
I suspect any misuse--again, go figure.
There is so little news from Boulder--I have asked on previous threads that my fellow residents
add their 2 cents, but I haven't been following
the post very carefully, so perhaps they have...
Do know from both the news and a close friend of
Patsy's that she (Patsy) was not a happy camper--
despite the apparent consensus of dismay over
beauty paegents for the very young, my friend feels Patsy had many reasons for enlisting JonBenet in these: It gave Patsy something to
throw herself in due to bad marriage and it some-
how satisfied the mother (Patsy's) who apparently
was at least an avid believer in winning at any
cost--
anyway, there are many angry Boulder residents who
feel this whole mess will never be resolved and
a lot of grumbling about J. Ramsey getting away
with murder--I don't know--a lot of theories, few
answers, a very, very angry Police chief and
major who are under a great deal of heat--
