A Bolingbrook police sergeant today is speaking out about the case of his missing wife. She's his fourth wife. Authorities now want to know more about the death of wife number three. More from Anita Padilla.
Main news: For the first time we're hearing from a veteran police officer whose wife has been missing for three days.
Padilla: Sgt. Drew Peterson says he's being treated unfairly by the media in this case. He says the media should be focusing on looking for his wife and not looking into his past. He believes Stacy Peterson is exactly where she wants to be and he urges her to call her family. But it is almost as if she disappeared off the face of the earth. She left her home here in Bolingbrook around Sunday morning around ten o’clock in the morning in a jogging suit. Her family says she hasn’t' been since. Her husband, a Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson says he spoke to her later that night. None the less her family filed with the Illinois State Police Monday morning. Now the missing 23 year old mother is Sgt. Peterson’s 4th wife.
Fox news was able to obtain some court records that show Kathleen Savio feared her ex-husband, Sgt. Peterson and she filed for an order of protection. Her family says she divorced him when she learned of an affair between Sgt. Peterson and future Stacy, the woman who is now missing. Investigators say Sgt. Peterson has been nothing but cooperative providing them with all the information about his wife’s friends and the places she would frequent. He has referred any further comments to his attorney.
