Chicago -- It’s an extraordinary case of he said, she said. Drew Peterson is questioning the motives of former friends who claim they secretly recorded conversations with him. Paula Stark is one of those former friends. She says her only motive was justice for Drew's missing wife, Stacy. Tera Williams has their point, counterpoint.

DREW PETERSON: Lenny and Paula, you're a piece of shit!
TARA WILLIAMS (VOICE OVER): Drew Peterson is angry at former friends Lenny Wawczak and Paula Stark. They claim the state police came to them with a court order and asked them to wear a wire for seven months to record intimate conversations with Peterson.
PAULA STARK: I really can't wait for everything on the wire to come out at the trial and like I said everybody will get a much better picture of what's going on.
DREW PETERSON: If they were wired up like they said, bring it on ... bring the wires.
TARA WILLIAMS (VOICE OVER): Authorities will not confirm or deny the allegations but Stark claims the investigators have hundreds of hours of conversation with Peterson like the one she claimed she had about Stacy's clothing.
TARA WILLIAMS: What did he ask you to try on?
PAUL STARK: He asked me to try on the bikinis but he actually put two of the fur coats on me and he said he'd like to see me in the clothing. He wanted to see how great they looked on me if he took me out.
TARA WILLIAMS (VOICE OVER) Stark also said Peterson made several statements about Stacy never coming back and about his third wife, Kathleen Savio.
PAULA STARK: He said if I had cremated her I would have thrown her ashes out the window.
TARA WILLIAMS (VOICE OVER) But this morning on Good Day Chicago, Peterson and attorney Joel Brodsky said the couple created this wiretap story to make money. Brodsky says he wants to hear the tapes himself.
JOEL BRODSKY: Put out the tapes..
TARA WILLIAMS (VOICE OVER) Peterson also said if there were legitimate recordings of him he would be exonerated. Until the tapes surface or are confirmed by state police, it's a he said, she said.
TARA WILLIAMS: You think he killed her?
PAULA STARK: Oh definitely, both of them.
HOST: Did you kill your wife?
DREW PETERSON: No, I did not, neither of them.
TARA WILLIAMS (VOICE OVER) Peterson has not been charged in either of Stacy's disappearance or Kathleen Savios death. Stark said state police told her that Peterson has not been arrested because investigators are waiting for the grand jury to finish up.
TARA WILLIAMS: So you think he will be arrested?
PAULA STARK: Yes, I'm a hundred percent.
TARA WILLIAMS: And soon?
PAULA STARK: Yes, within the next, I say, month.
DREW PETERSON: If the state police want me, call Mr. Brodsky, call myself and we will come in and I will turn myself in.
TARA WILLIAMS: What do you think he will do when he knows it's the end, I'm going to be arrested today?
PAULA STARK: Drew said when it came down to that moment and they came to get him and he knew it, he would come out and do a suicide by cop.
TARA WILLIAMS: And you really think he would do that?
PAULA STARK: Definitely.
TARA WILLIAMS: What is your reaction to her saying that you said you would do suicide by cop?
DREW PETERSON: Again if they come for me and that happens they'll know she was right.
JOE HOSEY: We got offered a contract and we went with it.
TARA WILLIAMS (VOICE OVER) Joliet Herald news reporter, Joe Hosey wrote the first story about the eavesdropping claims. His book on the Peterson wives called "Fatal Vows" will be out in September. He calls the Peterson case a lifetime movie in the making.
JOE HOSEY: I get a feeling it will be a movie, definitely be a move I got a feeling.
