Casey Anthony's 31 Days - June 23, 2008

The last time two year old Caylee Anthony was seen was the day after Father's Day on June 16, 2008, according to her Grandfather, George Anthony. It wasn't until July 15, 2008 that Casey Anthony admitted she hadn't seen her daughter for 31 days. Casey Anthony originally told law enforcement that she dropped Caylee off with her nanny, who she named as Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, also refered to as "Zanny", at apartment #210 at the Sawgrass Apartments in Orlando, Florida. Casey then said she went to work at her job at Universal Studios. Casey said when she returned to pick Caylee up that both Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez and Caylee were gone and Zanny's phone was out of service.

Anthony Lazarro said Casey's car was parked near a subdivision that looked like military housing, that is the houses were small, all looked alike. The backpack looked like a Jansport backpack, black and pink and white backpack.

Tony drove Casey to her parents house on Hopespring. They went through the garage into the house and then into the back yard. He had to use a tire iron to break the lock on shed to get the gas can out.

Brian Burner recalls seeing a dark (green?) pick up truck like a Ranger, pull into the Anthony's driveway. He recalled seeing a white male, dark hair. He didn't see Casey but he heard her voice. Brian Burner said he did not see Casey's car. Brian worked this day.

Tony drove Casey back to her car. She insisted on putting the gas in the car so he just handed her the gas can and watched her. He didn't recall smelling anything unusual. (Note: 02/2011 depo: Lazarro said they either went back to his apt or to see a friend from an accident.)

Casey told Cindy that Zanny & Raquel had a accident driving home, was taken to Tampa General Hospital. Zanny has concussion, Raquel a broken arm. Casey said her, Juliette, Caylee, Annabelle were in Casey's car, witnessed accident.
