. |
. | (#37) Evidence: Photo of #1 Red Gas Can that Casey stole 06/23/08 WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): George Anthony testifying. Baez "Now Mr. Anthony, this photograph was taken by law enforcement, was it not?" George: "Yes." Baez: "Now the reason you called the police is because you had to mow your lawn?" George: "Yes." . | (#41) WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): George Anthony testifying. Baez: "Something funny Sir?" George: "Your question is sort of funny to me, I mean to have my mower run it has to run on gas so I'm just sort of chuckling about that but yes I wanted to mow the grass that day, I didn't have fuel for the lawnmower to mow it with." . | (#45) WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): George Anthony testifying. . |
. | (#49) Evidence: Photo of #1 Red Gas Can Casey stole 06/23/08 WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): George Anthony: "If I can reiterate here (looking at gas can photo on monitor that was placed into evidence), this piece of tape that's on this can right now, I'm probably the one that put that on there prior to it being taken because a simple fact is, I'm going to get very technical here for you, whenever you get gas inside a can and it gets a very fumey type thing, it could explode, so I put that on there when I set it aside." wftv pt4: 05/26/11 04:48 |
. | (#50) WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): George Anthony: "I'm just speculating what I think I did. You're going in an area sir where my life and my wife's life when this started for us, we were running on fumes, going day by day just trying to find my granddaughter. And some of these things you're asking me to specific on I'm trying to do the best I can. There might be something I might not remember exactly, that happens to anyone but when you get into this thing with you and I sir, you're going off more to get me upset and I don't think that's fair." wftv pt4: 05/26/11 05:16 |
. | (#51) WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): George Anthony testifying. Jose Baez: "Mr. Anthony would you like to answer my question now? Do you remember my question sir?" George: "No I do not." (Court reporter reads questions back Baez question): "So you probably wouldn't have put a piece of duct tape on that gas can?" Baez: "And your answer to that question sir?" George: "To store that gas can in my shed, after receiving it back, I would have put a small piece of duct tape on it to cover that vent hole so it wouldn't have fumes smelling inside of my shed." wftv pt4: 05/26/11 06:00 |
. | (#52) Evidence: Photo of #1 Red Gas Can Casey stole 06/23/08 WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): Jose Baez: "And you just testified a moment ago that you put a piece of duct tape on that can, did you not?" . | (#53) Evidence: Photo of #1 Red Gas Can Casey stole 06/23/08 WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): Jose Baez: "On 08/05/2009 at the State Attorney's office, I was present, Mr. Ashton was present, your attorney Brad Conway was present. Do you recall being asked a question by Mr. Ashton, 'Now the gas can appears to have a piece of duct tape on it, do you recognize that?' and do you recall giving the following answer, 'I didn't put the duct tape on there.'" wftv pt4: 05/26/11 07:03 |
. | (#54) Evidence: Photo of #1 Red Gas Can Casey stole 06/23/08 WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): George Anthony: "Okay, we can clarify this right now, this gas can was taken from my residence on two occasions. The second occasion that you're refering to when it was taken, when I had seen the photograph of it, there was a larger piece of duct tape on it. I did not put that on there. That's what you're talking about sir." wftv pt4: 05/26/11 07:03 |
. |
. | (#55) Evidence: Photo of #1 Red Gas Can Casey stole 06/23/08 WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): Jose Baez: I'm refering to this piece of duct tape in the image that is standing right before you sir." George: "But this is not the one that I was shown of 08/05/2009. This was not the photograph that I was shown." Baez: "Mr. Anthony, were you not advised that his photograph that is in front of you was identified with the date during your deposiition?" wftv pt4: 05/26/11 07:03 |
. | (#56) Evidence: Photo of #1 Red Gas Can Casey stole 06/23/08 WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): (Judge Perry interrupts saying to attorney Jose Baez, "This image that you keep refering to is NOT IN EVIDENCE") wftv pt4: 05/26/11 07:03 |
. | (#57) WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): George Anthony testifying: "Again sir, this particular image of this particular photo was not shown to me in your presence and the state attorneys presense on the August 5 of 2009. This was not shown to me. There was another photograph of a gas can that could have been this one that was more filthy dirty because of powder from my fingerprints and a larger piece of duct tape on it. This is not the one that I was shown in 08/05/2009." wftv pt4: 05/26/11 11:30 |
. | (#58) Evidence: Photo of #1 Red Gas Can Casey stole 06/23/08 WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Cross by Defense): George said he put the small piece of duct tape on the gas can because of gas fumes AFTER Casey gave it back to him on 06/24/2008. THE PHOTO that George was shown during an 08/05/2009 deposition that had a bigger piece of duct tape on it was not the same photo of the same red gas cans being shown in court this day during the trial. wftv pt4: 05/26/11 |
