Caylee Marie Anthony HOMICIDE - Orlando, Florida (R.I.P. 2005-2008)
Age: 2-1/2, Caylee Anthony was reported missing by her grandmother, Cindy Anthony on July 15, 2008. At that time Caylee's mother, Casey, said on the July 15, 2008 911 call that her daughter had been missing for "31 days." Date of disappearance is unknown but the math adds up to last seen as of June 15, 2008. Caylee's body was found in a trash bag on December 11, 2008 along Suburban Drive, Orlando, Florida

"Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla who first bailed Casey Anthony out of jail said he believes someone in the Anthony camp knew where Caylee's remains were before the meter reader found them. Padilla says a private investigator named Dominic Casey who worked with the Anthony family was aware as early as mid-November that the remains were in a wooded area near Suburban Drive."

"He says, 'Yeah Dominic called me on the 15th and said you gotta get up here we found Caylee.' Hoover tells me that he then asked Dominic 'Is she alive?' 'No she's dead,'" said Padilla." The private investigator was apparently working with the Anthony family at the time. It raises questions about whether the Anthonys knew the remains were there a month before they were found.

A video taken by St. John's daughter on the first day their search team "The Body Hunters" began looking for Caylee Marie Anthony seems to show that St. John felt their was something odd about the location. St. John said she was riding with her apprentice, her daughter, a searcher and two cadaver dogs doing what they call a blind drive. They started at the Anthony’s home just around the corner from the site. "We just start fresh from the scene,” said St. John. “And just drive to a location we feel the person is in.”

"In this case it didn't take St. John long. The video shows St. John taking a right on Suburban Drive, where there is now a make shift memorial. "Alright, I've got to pull over,” she can be heard saying on the video. “Guys I'm immediately pulled here.” St. John is saying those words as she's driving up to the exact area where Caylee's remains were eventually found." - "St. John could not get permission from the property owner to go into the woods where Caylee's remains would be found so she did not return."

Jim Hoover's attorney told WFTV that Dominic Casey knew to go to Surburban drive for a detailed search.

KATHI BELICH, WFTV: "Well, today that private eye that you mentioned with the videotape, James Hoover, sat down with the lead investigators from the sheriff`s office and the FBI and gave them information, gave them a ten-minute videotape. The information might end up being more incriminating. What we`ve been told by Hoover`s attorney -- and we reported this -- is that the other private eye working for the Anthonys, Dominic Casey, knew where to search and what to look for, and he went to that scene to do a detailed search. He went there twice with James Hoover in November, the 15th and 16th. And then we`re told tonight that Dominic Casey also went back at least two other times. We don`t know whether he was alone." "

KATHI BELICH, WFTV: "I asked if there was water at the location. Dominic Casey said there was. James Hoover said he did not see water. You saw the video that the psychic apparently shot in August. You see how heavily wooded -- and there`s a lot of brush in that area."

"Psychic detective Gale St. John, who will star in a forthcoming reality show called "The Body Hunter," told MyFOXOrlando.com she was drawn to the same area on the same day in August that Kronk was — and caught her hunch on video. The footage was taken by St. John's daughter on the first day she and her TV search crew were hunting for Caylee. St. John says she felt a presence at the location where the child's body ultimately turned up."

"All right, I've got to pull over,” St. John is heard saying on the video when the SUV reaches the wooded lot. She told MyFOXOrlando.com that her cadaver dogs "took a very heavy interest" in the spot. "Something's not right here. Something's not right here," St. John tells her daughter in the video. St. John said she wasn't shocked when the remains were found and identified as the girl, who had been missing since mid-June. "I honestly wasn't surprised at all,” she told the station. “My reaction was, that's where we said we felt something."

He`s the man at the center of the storm right now. THOMAS LUKA, ATTORNEY FOR LEE ANTHONY: "Well, yes, that is correct. I did speak with Mr. [Dominic] Casey this afternoon. And he flatly denied that he ever told Mr. Hoover anything that Mr. Hoover is alleging. As far as he knows, he never had any -- he never had any conversations with Mr. Hoover about the possible location of any remains of Caylee or anything having to do with the case. He flatly denies that he ever made that statement. And he believes that Mr. Hoover is not telling the truth."

Kathi, is there confirmation that a PI who worked with the Anthonys actually knew where the skeleton was nearly a month before police were alerted? KATHI BELICH, WFTV: Well, I can tell you that a private investigator that worked with the Anthonys and alongside their private investigator has told the lead detectives in this case from the FBI and the Orange County sheriff`s office that Dominic Casey had detailed information about where to look and that`s why he went to the scene, was to look for the remains."

NANCY GRACE, HOST: Back to Kathi Belich with WFTV, who broke the story. Take me from the beginning. Tell me again what happened. KATHI BELICH, WFTV: "OK. Jim Hoover told investigators today [01/07/2009] that on the 14th of November, the Anthonys` private attorney, Dominic Casey, called him and asked him to come to town and meet with Mr. Casey. On the 15th in the morning, Mr. Casey met with him at the office, and Hoover says Mr. Casey told him, Caylee is dead and I know where her remains are and we have to go look for him. Hoover says that is why they went to the scene on November 15, a Saturday, and November 16."

KATHI BELICH, WFTV: "[Jim] Hoover told investigators Dominic Casey knew where to search and what to look for, and they specifically went to that location to do a detailed search of that location. Hoover says when he was there on those two days, they did not find the body. He says that Dominic Casey went back to that scene at least two other times after that without Hoover. We don`t know if he was alone or he was with anyone else. But that`s the new information."

Gonzalez said in a lawsuit that Anthony ruined her name when she told detectives that a woman with that name took Caylee. Her attorneys wanted the deposition delayed until after her criminal trial, which is scheduled to begin in March."

I don`t know whatever happened to that. I do know that people in law enforcement are trying to track it down."

"Sheaffer [WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer] said the Anthonys' private investigator, Dominic Casey, picked up what appeared to be a blanket at the scene and tossed it aside and that it did not appear Mr. Casey and his colleague, private eye Jim Hoover, who was behind the camera, were doing a random search. Sheaffer said Mr. Casey appeared to be focused on areas where there was a configuration of stones or concrete pavers, not just at the crime scene, but also at what appeared to be an abandoned back yard where Mr. Casey was actually digging. "Mr. Casey was digging in the area, actually digging with a garden shovel, in an area where it appeared to be a black plastic bag sticking out of the earth," Sheaffer said. Sheaffer said it was obvious Mr. Casey knew the camera was rolling because he was actually directing Mr. Hoover on where to shoot."

"Sheaffer said, back at the scene the second day, Mr. Casey was probing the ground with a metal rod and not just superficially but deeply enough that he could have destroyed evidence. "It was a metal probe and if he hit the skull or the bones of that skeletal remains he could have fractured it, he could have otherwise altered it and it would have thrown the whole forensic examination of the bones off," he said."

"Sources also said investigators have now established a time frame of death that dates back to June, according to reports returned by forensic botanists and entomologists brought in to anaylize the terrain and insect growth where Caylee's remains were found. Sources said plants were growing through the skeleton and bug evidence was also recovered, both of which helped scientists reach their conclusion. Orange County sheriff's detectives believe Anthony took actions that led to her daughter's death June 16, which corresponds to the June time frame of death, Local 6 News reported. Investigators believe Anthony dumped Caylee's body around June 18 in the wooded area where the remains were found, sources said."

"According to Tim Miller president of Texas base Equusearch the group that searched for the remains of the missing toddler, a tip was reported to a volunteer searcher by private investigator Jim Hoover on November 8th and involved a wooded area near the Anthony home, the same woods where the remains of the toddler were found in December by a utility worker. According to Miller Hoover approached a volunteer searcher on November 8th. "He actually told (searcher) Bill Todd that nobody could know he was out there,” Miller said. “And it had to be kept a big secret that he is working as security for the Anthony’s and if the Anthony’s ever found out he was out there his job would be in jeopardy." - "Miller wouldn’t say what Hoover said, but Bill Todd's wife said Hoover's tip didn't directly point them to the location where Caylee was found on December 11th, but instead said someone saw Casey’s car parked near that patch of woods back in June."

"Dominic Casey was focused on a grouping of concrete stones at the scene. His colleague, private investigator Jim Hoover, did not allow Eyewitness News to record the sound, but reporter Kathi Belich listened to the entire tape and clearly heard Dominic Casey say at one point on the tape, "It would be right here."

Video that was aired on WFTV, Fox News and on Geraldo, they made screen captures, they searched Google maps, Maps.Live.com and Orange County Appraiser maps on the Internet, they checked Orange County property records, and they found the P.I. Video mysterious house that the Anthony's P.I. Dominic Casey was at on 11/15/2008 and again on 11/16/2008 looking through trash bags and digging in the dirt !! And if that wasn't enough, one of them that was local to the area went to the house and took pictures !! (Below are the screen capture clues they used) - Congratulations on a job well done !

ROY KRONK: "I called that night about 9:30, 10:00 o`clock, and they said, OK. And then nothing happened. No one called me back. I called them again the next night about 9:30, 10:00 o`clock. They told me to call Crimeline. I didn`t want to call Crimeline. I just wanted to stay as anonymous as possible. And so I called Crimeline, and they said they`d have an officer meet me out there. So the next day when I got off work, I drove over there. I called. The officer showed up. He pulls an expandable metal baton out and went down to the water`s edge. I pointed in the area where it was at. He just swept his head back and forth and said, I don`t see anything. And pretty much, that was it. I would say he was kind of rude to me. And I just didn`t really -- I`m trying to help out. I`m trying to be a nice guy, and instead I`m catching all this. I just didn`t care anymore."

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL (HOST): Yes we don`t but let`s take a look at some really stunning video of private eye, Dominic Casey; this time in the yard of an abandoned house close to where Caylee Anthony`s remains were eventually found. We see him there opening up trash bag, sifting, poking, slashing, seaming to searching for something. Kathi Belich [reporter with CNN affiliate WFTV in Orlando], where is this house and what do you know about it?

KATHI BELICH (WFTV): "The house -- neighbors say it`s been abandoned for about a year. It`s owned by a Gonzalez family. [Casey had claimed Zenaida Gonzales stole the baby.]" - "Yes and our legal analyst doesn`t think that`s a coincidence. That that`s why the private investigator was at that particular house, is that`s less a mile from the Anthony`s home. The psychic claims she is the who directed the Anthony`s private investigator there, but the private investigator who was actually shooting that video, he said that the direction she had given last night that she claimed that she had given to Dominic Casey would not have gotten them to that house. And he also says that Dominic Casey never mentioned anything about a psychic telling him anything. And he was very secretive about who he was on the phone with. And Hoover says that just doesn`t add up to him. Why would Dominic Casey keep a secret about a psychic`s tip?"

KATHI BELICH (WFTV): "Our legal analyst thinks the whole video was staged for the defense to try to create reasonable doubt. And he said what better place to go than an abandoned house that`s owned by a Gonzales family to just sort of try to throw confusion into the situation. He doesn`t think it`s any coincidence whatsoever. That`s his theory. But the neighbors say that house has been abandoned for a year. The other curious thing is that private investigator Dominic Casey, if he really thought he was going to find something there, he never called law enforcement to go to that house. And you see on the video how he went about his alleged search of that house. No gloves, digging things, cutting things. He could have damaged fingerprints.
You know, our legal analyst just doesn`t believe that."

NANCY GRACE (HOST): And with us right now, the woman who says she led him to that location, Ginnette Matcia (SIC). She is a psychic who claims Dominic Casey was on the phone with her during the search. Ms. Matcia, thank you for being with us. Now, did -- how did you get hooked up with Dominic Casey to start with? GINNETTE LUCAS, PSYCHIC: "Well, I have a big reputation in the northern Virginia- D.C. area, and another fellow dowser -- do you know what dowsing is? Another fellow dowser called me and asked me to do some location work for the Anthony case." - "And I said, Sure, what the heck, go ahead, let`s try it. So he called down there. And I guess he had spoken with Sergeant Allen and Allen wasn`t interested. And then I guess he spoke with Dominic Casey and Dominic Casey said he was interested. And every time I worked on it, I couldn`t get the information. So eventually, one day, I picked up the information and I called Dominic right away about 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning on the 15th. And I said, I have what I call "the fast and final." I had some training from a former retired -- now retired D.C. detective, Detective Mike Helwig (ph) of the forensics department of D.C. police, and he would always give me pointers of how to, you know, attempt to go into a crime scene and so forth. And I`m also a former private investigator..."

GINNETTE LUCAS DREAM: "That she was in a plastic bag. I said there might be two plastic bags, a white one and a dark brown -- not a brown but a black one, and then a dark green one. And I said, Don`t -- I said, You`re not looking for a little person sitting on the curb, you`re looking for garbage, what looks like garbage."

GINNETTE LUCAS: I told him to go over to the area where an abandoned house was. I told him, When you leave the Anthony house, come out the front -- pretend you`re coming out the front door, take a right and go to the end of the street, and go to where the abandoned house is and...
NANCY GRACE: Were you giving him specific directions while you were on the phone with him?
GINNETTE LUCAS: Oh, absolutely. We were on the phone off and on for a while.
NANCY GRACE: Have you ever seen the location?
GINNETTE LUCAS: No.
NANCY GRACE: So this was all from your psychic feelings about the location?
GINNETTE LUCAS: Right. But that`s what I do. I do it all the time.
NANCY GRACE: OK, did you have a teddy bear that belonged to Caylee?
GINNETTE LUCAS: Yes. Oh, yes. They mailed it to me.
NANCY GRACE: Did you use it in any way?
GINNETTE LUCAS: Yes, I touched the teddy bear and...
NANCY GRACE: GRACE: Right. And what happened when you touched the teddy bear?
GINNETTE LUCAS: I didn`t get much. And I didn`t proceed much. And then I put down the teddy bear, put out a picture, a map, touched it, went to bed. And I had a dream about the information, got the final location, got up at 3:00 in the morning and called him and left him a message. And I said, Call me right away. I`ve got it and I want you to go check it out immediately.

NANCY GRACE (HOST): To Kathi Belich with WFTV. What did you hear him saying on the cell phone as he emerged from the woods? KATHI BELICH (WFTV): I could not hear what he was saying on the cell phone on that tape that I listened to. What I heard him say when you see the pavers that Leonard was just referring to, I hear him say, It would be right here, as we were looking on the video at the pavers. And let me tell you that Ginnette told us that she had called Dominic at 6:00 o`clock in the morning. And the time stamp on that videotape says that he was on the phone at 9:15 in the morning. And Dominic told me that`s when he was at that scene, at 9:15 that Saturday morning. So lots of discrepancies. NANCY GRACE (HOST): OK, so what are you saying, Kathi, that it`s too many inconsistencies to be true? Kathi Belich of WFTV reported that a woman from Virginia claimed they paid psychic Ginnette Lucas $5,000 and the tips to help solve a family member murder stopped when the money ran out.

NANCY GRACE (HOST): And to top it all off, the psychic who claims to have been on the phone with the Anthonys` private eye when he`s this close to Caylee`s remains is now under credibility attack. What about it, Kathi Belich? KATHI BELICH, WFTV:: "Well, we got a call after your show last night from a woman in Virginia, who says when her niece was murdered almost 20 years ago, she and her sister, the victim`s mother, went to psychic Ginnette Lucas for some help, paid her about $5,000 [w/credit cards], and got very useless information in return." KATHI BELICH, WFTV:: "And only got useless information. And they live close to several military bases. And she was telling them things like the killer was a soldier with a red car. She gave them tag numbers that were not legitimate tag numbers and then when their money ran out, so did her clues. And she just -- she believes that she`s a fake."

She loved her deeply." In August, Peter's 12-year-old granddaughter hosted a candlelight vigil for Caylee in St. Cloud while Casey Anthony was home on bond. Casey Anthony sent the girl a bracelet, a letter and some e-mails, which prompted Peter to unsuccessfully seek a restraining order against Cindy Anthony, who continued to correspond with the girl after Casey Anthony returned to jail."

"In recent days, Cindy Anthony and Peter have exchanged biting e-mails, with Cindy Anthony telling Peter that she would not be invited to Caylee's funeral. Peter responded in an e-mail, saying, "I would not want my granddaughter around a person that condones her daughter killing her own child. At least I know where mine is." That's when Cindy Anthony replied, "As for my daughter, she never hurt Caylee and that will be proven, she loved her deeply."

"The Orange County sheriff's deputy who checked on an August tip made by the meter reader who discovered the remains of Caylee Anthony in the same area in December was removed from his patrol duties on Thursday. Orange County sheriff's Deputy Richard Cain, 40, was temporarily assigned to the agency's Material Control and Supply Section until the completion of an aministrative review into whether Cain violated any policies when he went to wooded area to check on the tip, which was phoned in by Orange County utility worker Roy Kronk. According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Cain can no longer represent himself as a deputy sheriff or take law enforcement action either on or off duty. He also had to surrender his agency-issued sworn credentials and agency issued equipment, including identification cards, badges, a firearm, a vehicle, a radio and any other specialized equipment, the sheriff's office said."

Miller wants to prevent the defense from getting all the records relating to the tips that EquuSearch received as they search for Caylee, who was found dead in December."

Roy Kronk gets $5,000 Reward from Anthony's former attorney, Mark NeJame

"The meter reader who discovered Caylee Anthony's remains on Dec. 11 was given a $5,000 reward on Thursday. Roy Kronk received the money from Mark NeJame, George and Cindy Anthony's former attorney. After his own investigation, NeJame said he deduced that Kronk was not involved in any type of conspiracy or foul play, so he decided to give him the money he earned while working for the Anthonys."

"Kronk's attorney, David Evans, released this statement: "Roy Kronk is very appreciative to Mark NeJame for his generous gift of $5,000. Apparently, Mr. NeJame received $5,000 for his earlier involvement in the case and has decided that since Roy did find Caylee, the money should appropriately go to him. Roy is very thankful that Mark NeJame has recognized his singular efforts in finding Caylee and hopes that this sends a message to others that kindness does exist for people who do the right thing in life."

He [Tim Miller] said from the very beginning he was around her mother [Casey Anthony], she showed no signs of remorse at all. "I got a long of anger and disappointment on this," he said. Miller estimates his group spent over $100,000 on searches for Caylee Anthony."

"Miller also talked about the strange dynamic of going into the Anthony's house for the first time while Casey was out on bond and her daughter was still missing. "She had smiles all over her face, ran around like she had just won a cheerleading competition. Very discouraging from the beginning," Miller said.
