Location Of Interview: Law Offices of Lansky & Courtney Brandon, FL
Synopsis Of
Interview: Writer notes that Mr Stitzel arrived to the incident scene with his
attorney, Glen Lansky, at which time he requested to speak to writer and Det
David Wallace, of the Polk County Sheriff's Office, at his attorney's office in
Brandon. Writer and Det Wallace followed them to the law offices where an
interview was conducted within the conference room. Mr Stitzel stated that he
represented Abraham Shakespeare regarding Child Support Hearings and was told by
Dee Dee Moore that he wasn't missing. Dee Dee Moore told him (Stitzel) that he
was actually in Jamaica getting treatment for AIDS. He advised this was told to
him when it was known that Abraham Shakespeare first went missing. Mr Stitzel
advised he could not get in touch with his client, Abraham Shakespeare on his
cell phone and that the last time he physically saw him, he thinks was in April
of 2009. Mr Stitzel discussed a conversation on or about October 6, 2009, where
he allegedly had spoken to Abraham Shakespeare on a cell phone conversation. Det
Wallace of the Polk County Sheriff's Office inquired about the call reference
their case # 2009-112920. It was alleged that Mr Stitzel admitted to speaking to
Abraham Shakespeare on Oct 6th, via a cell phone conversation.
At this particular time, when questioned again, he advised he was not sure if it
was his client on the telephone. He stated he saw Dee Dee Moore speaking to him
(Shakespeare) in his office via telephone. Dee Dee Moore asked if he (Stitzel)
needed to speak to him, and he advised he just needed information and some
statements for his Child Support Hearings. Again, he cannot confirm nor deny if
it was his client's voice or not.
When further questioned about the fact that both of the cell phones being
utilized by Dee Dee Moore and Abraham Shakespeare were pinging off the same
tower near his office, Mr Stitzel could not give a reply as to how that
occurred, when it was only he and Dee Dee Moore within his office on that
particular date.
When asked if he had made any other phone calls to Abraham Shakespeare's cell
phone, he could not recall if he had. He described the last time he personally
saw the victim, Abraham Shakespeare was at his old office, located at 607 S
Alexander St in Plant City, FL, suite 202. He thinks it was in April or May
2009. He left the law firm of Byrd & Stitzel in January 2009 and moved to this
particular location on Alexander St. He then temporarily moved his law office
into the address of 5732 Hwy 60, possibly around May 15th to the beginning of
June 2009. Mr. Stitzel said he was awaiting the completion and renovation of the
two story structure at 5802 Hwy 60 where his law office is currently located. He
knows Dee Dee Moore as a client, and he described being very down on his luck
and going through a bad divorce. He was not financially stable, therefore, he
received a deal
