While viewing the surveillance video, writer received a call from Julius
Francis with Home Depot Loss Prevention. He was viewing surveillance video
writer had requested. He described a heavy set W/F entering the store wearing
the same clothing as the W/F viewed on the Wal-Mart video. She entered the
Home Depot at approximately 2:53 PM. Mr. Francis advised he would provide
copies of the surveillance video within the next few days and would call
writer when it was available.
Writer was provided copies of the surveillance video from Steven Garberg who
signed a property receipt. Writer was also provided a copy of the receipt
showing the items purchased by Dorice Moore (01/24/10 at 15:19:13).
At 1900 hrs, writer responded to the Sam's Club-2021 W. Brandon Blvd. The
Loss Prevention Associate Justin had left for the day. Writer left a
business card. Writer ascertained on the following day that Master Detective
Raschke retrieved surveillance video of Dorice Moore from the Sam's Club.
The W/F depicted in the Sam's Club video matched the W/F from the Wal-Mart
surveillance video.
At 2156 hrs, writer impounded a CD with the Wal-Mart surveillance video
under HCSO Inventory # 519910, after making several copies for Detective
Thomas #5165, the case detective. Also impounded was a copy of the Wal-
Mart receipt.
On 01/31/10 at 1459 hrs, writer along with Detective Wallace of the Polk
County Sheriff's Office met with the parents of Dorice Moore, Patrick and
Linda Donegan, at 8704 Turkey Creek Rd, Plant City. Both interviews were
recorded (see transcribed interviews) The interviews took place in a travel
trailer behind the residence.
Writer was given several items from Linda Donegan she advised were left over
at the residence by her daughter, Dorice Moore, to include several pieces of
jewelry (rings, watches, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets) , digital
camera, IPOD, cell phones, video player, foreign currency, and over $1,200 in
US currency, and other items. See property receipts for further details. The
items were transported by writer in a large Coach purse. The items were
impounded under HCSO Inventory # 520202 - 520213. Prior to impound, writer
took digital pictures of all the items impounded. The items were impounded at
2145 hrs.
On 02/03/10 at 1500 hrs, writer was contacted by Linda Donegan. She advised
her daughter, Becky (sister of Dorice Moore), had been visited by Dorice on
Sunday (01/31/10) who dropped off clothing and a laptop computer belonging to
RJ (Dorice's son). Within the clothing, Becky discovered a second laptop, an
HP Touch Smart computer that did not belong to her or RJ.
She (Becky) gave it to Linda on 02/01/10 at approximately 0800 hrs. She
was calling writer to turn the laptop in as she did not know who it
belonged to.
At 1530 hrs, writer responded to the Home Depot - 9941 E. Adamo Dr, Tampa,
and received a copy of the surveillance video, provided by Julius Frances.
Writer observed the same W/F from the video at Wal-Mart enter the store.
It appears this same W/F walks through the store, but does not purchase any
items. Writer observed her walking towards the exit with an empty shopping
cart. She then leaves the cart by the exit doors after passing through the
register area, without stopping. See video for further details. Writer made
several copies for Detective Thomas and impounded the original into
