[Abraham Shakespeare]Abraham Shakespeare MURDERED - Plant City, Florida (Hillsborough Co.) April 2009
Abraham Shakespeare (42) won $31 million dollars in the Florida Lottery in 2006. He took a lump sum payout of approximately $17 million. He remained a frugal person as he had before his lottery windfall, but after numerous failed real estate transactions, loans, and friendships Abraham has suddenly gone missing. He was last seen in the Lakeland area in April 2009. Dorice Emma Donegan Moore (AKA Dee Dee Moore) stated in the media that she bought out Abraham's debts to enable him to move away to escape paying child support arrears for a second child that was born after the lottery windfall. Law Enforcement believes there may be more to this story. Abraham Shakespeare's body was found on January 28, 2010 buried beneath a cement slab on the rear property of Shar Krasniqi located at 5802 S.R.60 East, Plant City, Florida 33567. Shar Krasniqi was the boyfriend of Dorice Emma Donegan Moore (AKA Dee Dee Moore). On February 2, 2010 Dee Dee Moore was arrested, first charged with Accessory after the fact and later with First Degree Murder of Abraham Shakespeare.

INVESTIGATION

On 01/25/10 writer along with Sgt. F. Losat # 3664 met with members of the Polk County Sheriff's Homicide Unit, to include Lt. Jamie Rudd, Sgt. K. Raczynsky, and Detectives D. Wallace, D. Clark, D. Kendrick, and C. Lynn. Writer learned that the Polk County Sheriff's Office had been investigating the missing person case for Abraham Shakespeare since November of 2009, under Polk County SO case 2009- 112920. Writer further learned that a witness, B/M Gregory Todd Smith, had been assisting PCSO with their investigation by audio recording conversations he had been having with a person of interest, W/F Dorice Donegan Moore DOB 07/25/72.

Writer learned that on this date, Moore had given a handgun to Smith and told Smith that this was the gun that was used to kill Abraham Shakespeare. Finally writer learned that Moore also showed Smith the location of where Abraham Shakespeare had been buried beneath a concrete slab behind the residence located at 5802 Hwy. 60 East Plant City, and that she had told Smith that Shakespeare had been shot in the office of the residence located at 5732 Hwy. 60 East.

Writer notes that Sgt. Losat appointed Det. G. Thomas # 5165 as the case detective in this investigation, and that Det. Thomas would author search warrants for the residence at 5732 Hwy. 60 East and the ground beneath the concrete slab behind the residence located at 5802 Hwy. 60 eastj see Det. Thomas' supplement.

On 01/26/10 writer and members of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit, the Crime Scene Unit, and the Polk County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit, responded to the aforementioned locations, which are next door to each other, to execute the search warrants. After Det. Thomas read the search warrants, writer was assigned as the scene detective. Writer notes that an HCSO Command Post, consisting of a Sheriff's Office marked travel trailer, was set up and parked on the driveway of the residence located at 5802 Hwy. 60 East. Writer notes that the yards of both residences were secured by Crime Scene tape across the front, along Hwy. 60, on each side, as well as behind the yards.

The residence located at 5732 Hwy 60 East is a single story, red brick structure, with the garage door facing the east, and the front door facing south. Writer observed a mail box in front of the house with the corresponding address displayed on it. Writer observed a blue in color Freightliner tractor truck in a disassembled state parked in the driveway, a gray and white aluminum shed in the back yard, along with two tractor trailer type steel containers, and a large wooden skateboard ramp. Writer notes behind the skateboard ramp, was a screened area that appeared that it could be used as a paintball course. Writer observed directly in the back yard of the residence was a goat tied to a tree. Writer observed the house to have four surveillance cameras equipped and positioned on each side of the house. Writer notes that the tractor had VIN 1FUYSSZBXYLB54878 displayed on the cab and the interior contents, to include the seats having been removed. Writer observed the front hood and fenders were removed, as well as the fuel tanks. Writer checked the DHSMV record for the tractor and found that it was registered to Landy Denise Roberson of 1541 W. 2nd Street in Lakeland and that the lien was held by Abraham Lee Shakespeare, titled on OS/22/08.

Writer noted the residence at 5802 Hwy 60 east was a two story residence with brown brick and brown trim, to have a concrete driveway that extended out to Hwy 60, and a wooden deck and stairs that led to the upper floor above the garage door. Writer noted that the front door faced Hwy 60 (south) and the garage door faced the west. Writer observed the back yard (north side) of the residence to have a concrete pad with an electrical service panel (without power) mounted on a wood pole and on the east side of the pad. Writer notes there were two trampolines on the concrete pad, along with what appeared to be discarded items in a pile.

Writer observed a white in color Ford F150 pick up truck with an attached enclosed aluminum trailer parked at an awkward angle, along with a boat and trailer parked next to it; positioned by the southwest corner of the concrete pad. Writer found that the truck and trailer was almost "jack-knifed" and that the sum of the truck, trailer, and boat and trailer created a "U" shaped barricade as if it were there to obstruct the view from Highway 60. Writer notes that prior to entering the properties with vehicular traffic, Crime Scene personnel swept the ground between both houses with metal detectors, as well as visually inspect the ground in an effort to locate potential evidence. Writer notes the search was conducted by Crime Scene Detectives Cashwell, Hager, McGill, CSI Brando, Cpl. Picard, and Director R. Wilson. This search was conducted at approximately 0910 hours. Writer notes that further searching of the ground from the rear of the residence at 5732 Hwy 60 and the concrete slab behind 5802 Hwy. 60 was conducted at 1115 hours.

Writer notes that Polk County Sheriff's Office Captain James Elenski was present at the scene also. Writer notes that HCSO Captain A. Hill, and Major H. Winsett were present also; see crime scene logs for a complete list of all personnel who entered the scene.

Writer, Det. Thomas and CSI Brando then entered the residence at 5732 Hwy 60 East at which time CSI Brando photographed and video recorded the interior of the residence prior to the search of the residence. Writer notes the only evidence collected on this day was the video tape and the items of possible evidence recovered on the ground outside; see inventory # 519901 items 1 and 2, inventory # 519902 items 1-13, and inventory # 519903 items 14-16. Writer notes the scene was secured for the night.

After leaving the scene, writer was flagged down by a citizen. Writer then met and interviewed David Porter; see interview.

On 01/27/10 Writer, CSI Brando, Cpl. Picard, Det. D. McGill, and Polk Co SO Det. Lynn entered the residence and conducted a walkthrough of the residence. Writer was advised by Det. Lynn of statements made by Dorice Moore to Greg Todd Smith in which she advised the shooting of Abraham Shakespeare occurred in the office within the house and that Abraham had been seated in the "round" chair and that he was dragged out of the office and into another room. CSI Brando then conducted analysis of the carpet of the office using "Bluestar" which yielded a positive result for blood on the carpet between the round chair and the desk, as well as on the carpet in front of the door opening to the kitchen. Writer notes that CSI Brando conducted further analysis of the office with Bluestar; see supplement. Writer assisted CSI Brando in cutting a square section of the carpet located in the northeast corner of the office; which was impounded; see Inventory # 519965 item 1. Writer notes that Crime Scene Detectives Cashwell # 2121 and Hager # 4857 then processed the entire inside of the residence for latent fingerprints; see supplement.

On the same date writer and CSI J. Brando # 10182 began removing items from off of the concrete pad behind the residence located at 5802 Hwy 60 East. Writer notes that the piece of angle iron, believed to have been placed there by Dorice Moore, was located on the west side of the slab, approximately one-third from the south end. Writer notes there were also pool cleaning supplies as well as rugs and carpet remnants piled on the slab. Writer notes the carpet remnants, rugs, and pool cleaning supplies were impounded as potential evidence; see property receipts and search warrant return for complete list of impounded items. Writer notes after the concrete slab was cleared away, Dr. Erin Kimmerle of the USF Anthropology Department along with Rhonda Coolidge, Liotta Noche- Dowdy, and Cristina Echazabal used ground penetrating radar, moving it over the slab looking for abnormalities underground that would be indicative of a burial site. Writer learned that there appeared to be abnormalities in the ground present in the area where the angle iron had been placed.

At 1355 hours the slab was then broken into pieces and placed in a pile by Hillsborough County Maintenance workers with heavy equipment. The area of interest was the southwest quadrant of the slab which was separated into search grids and plotted by Det. M. Tucker # 4175 of the Traffic Homicide Unit. A work area was dug out to the east of the southwest quadrant and dirt began being removed, taking layers off from the top horizontally. A piece of plastic was recovered from under the slab, as well as soil samples at 6 and 12 inches below the slab; see property receipt and search warrant

return. Writer notes that the scene was secured for the night.

On 01/28/10 the digging continued with a bucket brigade arranged to shuttle five gallon buckets of dirt removed from the dig site to sifting stations where the dirt was sifted for anything of evidentiary value. On this same day, Detectives M. Garcia # 5119 and J. Oliver # 4786 searched the interior of the residence at 5732 Hwy 60 East and impounded a .22 caliber rifle, .22 caliber ammunition, .45 caliber ammunition, a Dell computer with a thumb drive, a Sony Vaio computer, an eMachine computer, a dell computer, a Toshiba laptop, a five foot in diameter round chair with three cushions, a 21" X 14" X 14 " safe, as well as a 41" X 20" X 20.5" safe; see supplements.

During the course of the digging and the sifting of the dirt, certain items of possible evidentiary value were recovered and impounded; see property receipts and search warrant return. The human remains were located approximately 6 feet below the ground surface. The remains were positioned lying on the left side with the head to the south end. The victim appeared to have a black jacket on, as well as jeans and socks, but no shoes. The victim appeared to be mummified; to have a pronounced jaw, and to have what appeared to be a large amount of hair in a hair net behind the head.

Writer notes there was a white, solidified substance that had adhered to the victim's body, primarily over the lower portion of the legs and hands. Writer noted that the substance was approximately 3 to 6 inches thick. After some time the white substance was chipped away and Dr. Mainland of the ME a was present as the victim's body was exhumed from the ground. Writer learned from CSI Brando that the buttons and zipper of the victim's clothing had been cut away. Writer notes the exhumation of the victim was video recorded and impounded as evidence. Writer notes the scene was secured for the night.

On 01/29/10 writer and Crime Scene Detective K. Ratcliff # 1747 processed the white in color Ford F-150 p/u truck and the enclosed trailer. Writer checked DHSMV records and found that the Ford F-150, bearing FL tag R997QC was registered to Dorice Moore's parents: Patrick Francis Donegan DOB 09/05/45 or Linda Tuttle Donegan DOB 10/25/45 and that the vehicle was titled in their name on 02/13/08.

Writer found that the trailer with FL tag N443BW was registered to Linda Donegan only, titled in her name on 12/07/09.

Writer notes the boat and trailer was registered to Robert James Moore DOB 01/13/95, Dorice Moore's son, and that it was acquired on 04/24/06.

Writer found that the enclosed trailer had three Master padlocks on securing the doors; two on the rear ramp/door and one on the side door. Writer had received the keys to the truck from Det. G. Thomas and found that the master key on the key ring unlocked the locks. Upon looking inside, writer observed a galvanized metal cattle trough, packs of plastic sheeting, an ax, a broom and dust pan, a three pack of Clorox bleach, Duck tape, Rubbermaid gloves, and a drop-cloth; see property receipt and search warrant return. Writer also observed two sections of garden hose on the ground next to the trailer. These items were impounded as well. Writer viewed the bed area of the truck and observed a white substance, both in solid form as well as in the form of dried splashes in the bed. Writer had Det. Ratcliff collect this as well. Writer then drove the truck and trailer to the Crime Scene Section where the two vehicles could be processed for biological evidence; see Det. Ratcliff's supplement.

Writer returned to the residence at 5732 Hwy 60 East and conducted a walkthrough of the residence with Detectives C. Lynn and D. Kendrick of the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Writer notes the following items were impounded as evidence: a memory stick located in the kitchen drawer, a swab of a reddish substance inside the kitchen pantry bi-fold door, a box of Navy Federal Credit Union checks in the name of Shar Krasniqi, 3 bottles of prescription medication in the name of Debbie Munguia, a "Canopy" brand towel and washcloth recovered from the bathroom on the northwest corner of the residence, a swab of a reddish substance inside the door to the same bathroom, a swab inside a cabinet door inside the same bathroom, a "Lorex" video monitoring unit, and a small red in color substance and swab recovered from the threshold of the kitchen and office.

On 02/01/10 writer transported two spent projectiles recovered from the victim's body (Inv # 520140 items 1 and 2), the Smith and Wesson .38 caliber handgun (Inv # 520252 item 1) and swabs from the carpet section removed from the office (Inv # 520253 item 1) to FDLE for analysis. Writer requested the projectiles be compared to the handgun and the swab be compared to the victim's standard which had been submitted under Polk County SO FDLE submission # 2009-0311057 item 4131.

On 02/02/10 writer assisted Det. G. Thomas with the execution of a court authorized search warrant of the residence located at 5802 E. Hwy 60, which also served as office space for Howard Stitzel, Esq. Writer assisted in the search for and recovery of any paperwork and/or files; see property receipts completed by CSI R. Derr # 10993 and search warrant return.

On 02/03/10 writer transported an eMachine computer (Inv # 520362 item 18), a Hewlett Packard computer (Inv # 520364 item 36) and an Ativa flash memory/thumb drive (Inv # 520364 item 38) to FDLE for analysis. Writer requested the hard drives be imaged and to copy all files, and to also record the dates that the files were created, modified, and/or last viewed.

On 02/04/10 writer and other HCSO personnel returned to both 5732 and 5802 to conduct a search of the ground of the properties for any remaining potential evidence; see items impounded by Det. R. Cashwell # 2121.

Also on this date, writer and Det. D. Wallace of the Polk County Sheriff's office traveled to Harrisburg, PA to interview Kenneth Schlangen. Det. Wallace had advised that Schlangen had been contracted by Dorice Moore to remodel the homes) on Highway 60, but it was unsure which homes he had worked on.

On 02/05/10 writer and Det. Wallace met with Kenneth Schlangen and interviewed him at his residence; digitally recording the interview.

Writer and Det. Wallace then met and interviewed Ryan Schlangen, Kenneth Schlangen's son. This interview was digitally recorded as well. A CD copy of the interviews was impounded as evidence.

This concludes writer's involvement in this investigation at this time.
