Hi,
I am sorry that I was not more clear about the visitor to the cemetery.
I will try to clarify and expound a bit about my unsettling experiences.
I have gone to the site numerous times, to remember JonBenet in a personal way. The cemetery is located within my general geographical location, give or take 10-15 miles.
Several times this past spring and summer, there has been a person kneeling on the top of the grave (on the flat marker covering the grave).
This person has some peculiar characteristics....
I observed this person from my car for a short time, and decided not to get out of my vehicle. It probably sounds silly here, but you would have to be there to see the disturbing aspects...
I have heard through the grapevine that there have been other reports similiar to mine... the person had the same physical characteristics and displayed the same behavior (always kneeling on top of the grave).
One person whom I have talked with speculates that the person may be a close relative of Patsy Ramsey's who has been considered by some to be a suspect in the case.
I do not know if the person is a local, because the car is not parked within the cemetery grounds.
Local or not, family or not, it is a bit unsettling to view.
I have decided not to go to the cemetery alone again.
My comment about the connection to the LHF was in jest, mainly, as I do not know any identity. However, I do want to avoid any upclose and personal exchanges with him.

Darn and drat!!!
I tried very hard to leave the personal pronoun out of my post, but I see where I used the masculine.
Yes, it very well could be PaughPaugh.
I have not taken any photos, but have compared the photos of Paugh with the appearance of the man.
Everything fits, but the man is always wearing a cap..Neatly dressed, but wearing a cap.
Since it does not fit the rest of his appearance, I believe it might be worn as an attempted disguise.
Has anyone else seen a man fitting this description at the cemetery? If so, please EMail me.

CandyRose,
I suppose it was a combination of the following:
1) No mode of transportation on the premises, which is unusual during the day because there are so many cars parked on the side streets (H.S. staff) and none within the cemetery grounds. It is a lot easier to park on the cemetery grounds, in other words.Does someone drop him off and come back for him or is he leaving his vehicle somewhere else, and if so, why?
2) He is the ONLY person I have ever seen kneeling for periods of time on the flat part of the marker. I don't mean just as if in a brief prayer, but staying in that position.
As we all know, there is a bench just beside the grave, and several just across from it.
3) I go there less often now, because of him, but every time I drive onto the grounds, he is there.I would estimate that I saw him over 8 times in a 6 week period.
4)One single red rose with the thorns stripped off was lying on the gravesite after he left on 3 separate occasions. I left and went to the Square for the period of time that he was in the cemetery.)It was not wilted in the sun, but I do not know for certain that he left it.
5)He is always alone.
6)I have never seen him around Beth Ramsey's grave, which, as you know, is next to JonBenet's.
7)He has stayed on the grave for over two hours at a time. I know, because I got really weirded out after doing some shopping and then driving back by and still seeing him there.
All in all, there is just a weird feeling about the man's continued presence. I wonder if he is a family member, a friend of the family, an Internet fan, or some kind of perverted person.
When I visit, I sit quietly but openly on the bench under the tree. My face is not hidden from view, and I have never stayed over 10-15 minutes.
Am I wrong to think that this man is odd? |
