And she said she didn't know. We had gone to the house. We weren't allowed to go to the house that day. We went to the house the next day. We were allowed to go in the house. Larry, I don't know why this was not investigated. It was ruled an accidental drowning. The next day, everyone was in the house. Drew was in the house. We were in the house. So that — I don't know about that stuff that's been said about the blood-soaked hair because I did not notice that, and I was first on the scene."

And he indicated to the panel that he thought that Peterson was a good policeman. He was charitable and helped his neighbors, and so on and so forth. So I think that — I think that might have influenced some of the panel members, but I don't know that for sure." - "I was kind of apprehensive with one photograph showing her face down in an empty tub. And there was a lot of blood remaining in the tub, and I just — I didn't — myself did not consider — it was inconsistent with drowning. I feel that the blood that was in the tub should have probably dissipated into the water and drained out with the water. But like I said, I'm not an expert forensic person, so as a layperson, that's just how I felt."

You said something really that caught all of us, and that was that there was air in the lungs. Now what could that signify, a struggle or that she was in the water, then out of the water, then back in the water? Tell us lay folk. - MAKARY: "Well, that`s a good point you raise here. When there is a struggle, when there is wrestling, when there is a gasping for air, a true struggle, then the epiglottis will spasm, and that acts as a valve and air will not enter the lungs. Just prior to that we heard on Monday [12/10/2007], we heard Pastor Schori tell you that Stacy actually confided in him that Drew Peterson had actually confessed that he killed Kathleen and of course you followed up then and he said Stacy told him that very night [Sunday 02/29/2004 - Monday 03/01/2004]. Now I've got sources that later in the week we found out she woke up in the middle of the night and there were numerous times she tried to find Drew in the house and she couldn't find him. She yelled out for him, she called him on the cell phone numerous times, described in almost excessively, he never answered. Where was Drew?"

And he asked me to go to the house in the next 15 minutes because he had a locksmith coming over there. He was trying to drop off the kids for the past day-and-a-half. And he already contacted Mary, which was her best friend, to go over there. So I pulled up in my driveway. I went and got Mary, and me and Mary walked over to the house, and Drew and the locksmith were at the front of the house. And when the locksmith unlocked the door, Mary and I walked up the stairs, and that`s when we went into the bedroom. She went to the right by the bed, I went in the closet, and then I went into the bathroom. And that`s when I walked to the back of the bathroom and noticed -- again, I`m going to say a balloon-type object or an exercise ball. And when I looked down, it was Kathy."

And you know, out of, you know, respect, you know, right away, I yelled for Mary. Mary came in the bathroom, and then when she started yelling after seeing her, that`s when Drew came flying up the stairs. But out of respect, because, you know, Kathy is a woman and that`s Drew`s, you know... ex-wife at the time, and Mary, you know, it`s not something I wanted to stare at for a long period of time."

And we saw them all the time. And you know, as far as we could tell -- I mean, as far as I could tell, they were happy up until the point when Kathy got the letter, anonymous letter in the mail, and that`s what disclosed that there was Stacy in the picture at that point." - "There was a letter stuck in the mailbox. It was typewritten. It was many pages. And it was someone revealing the fact that Drew had a girlfriend, which was Stacy at the time. And then when that came out, that was, you know, obviously, a big thing in their relationship. And from there, proceeded to go downhill very quickly."

We were moving Drew`s stuff out of the house because he was moving into the house down the street, in which he lives now. And at that point, Kathy was kind of chasing him around the garage. It sounds funny, but it`s true. And she was hitting him with an electrical cord, an extension cord. And then, you know, she slapped him in the face right in front of me and the other neighbor. And when I said, Kathy, why are you doing that? And Drew said, Did you see that? Did you see that? And then she spit in his face. And you know, he was very calm and just said, Did you see that? And that was it, and we kept going about the business and getting the stuff out. That was the one altercation. The other one..."

And I noticed Drew and Stacy pulled up in the driveway, and they were dropping off the kids. And I saw Kathy come running out of the front door of the house, and she lunged through the passenger window with her right fist. And that`s where Stacy was sitting. And at that (INAUDIBLE) I jumped out of my truck, went towards them. Kathy ran back in the house, and Drew said, Did you see that? I said, yes, what`s going on? And he called the police. And at that time, the garage door opened up. Kathy came running out of the garage again. Drew`s back was towards the house. And she got in the truck and she tried to back down the driveway with Stacy and the kids in the car. And..."

He was keeping her subdued..." - "like a police officer would. (INAUDIBLE) maybe I would have jumped in, but I want everybody to know that, you know, he was not beating her up or anything, which are some of the stories out there that`s ludicrous. And then my wife came over there. And Kathy was yelling (INAUDIBLE) to go inside (INAUDIBLE) her friend, which was in the house." - "It was a male. And I told my wife, as well as Drew said, Don`t go in there, because then it would have really gotten crazy, so..."

And you know, there`s -- he was at my house about a week-and-a-half ago and he said that to me and my wife. He says, you know, I sure hope that she would just show her face so that we can get done with this circus -- the media circus. And again, he loves her very much. Does he want her back? She would have some explaining to do, but he does love her very much."

STEVE CARCERANO, DREW PETERSON'S NEIGHBOR: "Well, I`ve been in his house, like I said, and the 2- and 4-year-old, they don`t really say much about Stacy, they`re just running around playing. The two older ones, 13 and 14, Chris and Tommy, they were -- about two weeks ago I was at his house and we were watching the -- I can`t remember what program it was, but it had Stacy`s two sisters on there and they were talking about two different times, one that he supposedly pushed her down the stairs and another one he pushed her against the wall. Both kids jumped off the couch and said, dad, that`s not true, we`ve never seen that happen. And he said, kids I just can`t win. So that type of stuff gets him mad because they are false accusations as far as he is concerned. And the kids were right there, I have seen the 13- and 14-year- old say that right in front of me, so."

I believe the older one talked for about two-and-a-half hours, and the 13-year-old talked for about 35 minutes. "Investigators are zeroing in on the timeline before the death of Kathleen Savio, the third wife of former Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson. Their inquiry has led them to seek out nearly 4-year-old phone records that could raise doubt about Peterson's alibi regarding where he was in the 48 hours before Savio was found dead in a bathtub in 2004." - "The calls are important because Stacy Peterson was her husband's alibi in the Savio death investigation. Two months later, according to the coroner's inquest transcript, a police officer testified about checking Drew Peterson's alibi, saying, "The only thing we're waiting for now is some phone records to find out if certain phone calls were made when they said they were made." But court employees say there's no record that the phone records were ever obtained by police."

What happened was I think they were still going through the divorce, and Drew came by my aunt`s house to either pick up the kids or drop them off. I don`t remember what the story was. But either way he came over to the house and went into the house to talk to my aunt and he let it be known that Stacy was in the car waiting. And my aunt was a very opinionated person." - "Drew from what I remember him being all the time, he was a very cocky person, he wasn`t shy of saying what he wanted to say, that`s just his attitude. He didn`t care. And he basically told her some way or other that she was in the car and my aunt totally was not for the kids being around her at that time. And, you know, she was a very opinionated person like I said so she went outside to tell her, I don`t want you around my kids, get out of here. And while she went outside Stacy was in the car with a video camera already rolling."

And I saw the video firsthand. My aunt showed me and my mom this. Drew tackled my Aunt Kathleen and pinned her to the ground, put a knee to the back of her head." - "Yeah, it`s sick. It`s sick. I mean she`s screaming please help me, somebody help me, somebody help me, and Stacy gets out of the car and continues to videotape this while Drew was on the cell phone calling the police department that she assaulted Stacy." - "I mean, that`s really what happened. From what I saw on the video firsthand, my aunt never touched Stacy. I mean, she went at her and said some words that I think she had a right to."
