The reason for posting the egging episode on the WTF Sharon Bychowski thread was to show that Sharon picks and chooses when she cooperates with the police. If she likes what the evidence shows then she cooperates, if she doesn't then she conceals it. The implication of this is that if she has, or comes accross, evidence that shows that Stacy ran off she would conceal it rather than give it to the police. That is the issue, not where the cameras are pointed, or if they are recording, or anything else about the cameras.

Will County Assistant State's Attorney Domenica Osterberger asked a judge June 13 to quash Peterson's subpoena. Peterson, 54, a retired Bolingbrook police sergeant, was charged last month with the unauthorized use of a weapon. It accused him of owning a Colt Sporter Lightweight, 223 Remington rifle with an attached EOTech electronic sight that allegedly is too short. By law, the gun must be a certain length." "Joel Brodsky, one of Peterson's lawyers, argues Peterson used the gun while working as a police officer and that made him exempt from the law. On May 22, Brodsky filed a subpoena asking that the Bolingbrook police turn over a series of records detailing Peterson's use of firearms while on the department."

Wearing a suit and tie and appearing composed, Thomas Peterson, 15, left the courthouse garage at about 4:15 p.m. in the passenger seat of his attorney’s car. For months, the grand jury has been looking into the death of his mother, Kathleen Savio, who was found dead in an empty bathtub in her Bolingbrook home. She was only weeks away from a divorce settlement with Drew Peterson when she died." "“He’s been at the grand jury for what? Although the boy was not available to speak to reporters, his father lambasted authorities for putting a teen through the grand jury process. “That’s grueling for an adult let alone a 15-year-old kid,” Drew Peterson said shortly after his son returned home from hours of testimony in front of the grand jury investigating his mom’s death and his step-mom’s disappearance. 06/29/2008 (www.suburbanchicagonews.com) "Grand jury grills Peterson son, 15" "Drew Peterson criticized authorities for calling his 15-year-old son before the grand jury investigating the October disappearance of Peterson's fourth wife and the 2004 death of his third wife. Thomas Peterson, a high school sophomore, spent more than four hours testifying Thursday, said Drew Peterson, who contended authorities broke an earlier pledge not to call his two teenage sons in front of the Will County grand jury. Thomas and his 13-year-old brother, Christopher Peterson, already have been interviewed at the Will County Child Advocacy Center. Peterson said he agreed to allow those interviews after investigators told him they wouldn't call the teens before the grand jury" "It pissed me off that they told me one thing and did something else," Drew Peterson said, adding that his son appeared to handle his grand jury appearance in stride. "He's a smart kid. I don't think it traumatized him too much," Peterson said." "Savio is the mother of Peterson's two teenage sons. Drew, myself and Glenn Selig did speak with Matt Phelps and his agent Peter Miller in a conference call for very preliminary discussions about the possibility of a book. The truth of Mr. Phelps’ statements pretty much stops there. (Mr. Phelps, your forgot that there were other witnesses on the phone didn’t you?). Mr. Phelps was brought in by his literary agent Mr. Peter Miller because Miller had told us he and Mr. Phelps were interested in doing a book on the Peterson case. We never sought out Mr. Phelps. There was no 2 to 3 hour interview, (not even remotely that long, only a fraction of that amount of time - the length of the call is documented on the conference calling system), we never discussed the editorial content of the book, we never asked him to trash anyone, we never asked him to put Kathy’s death on Stacy (why would we when it was an accident?), and in fact Drew said very little on the phone and never addressed Phelps directly as to any fact of the cases. (in fact I don’t even recall Drew speaking directly to Phelps, and Drew spoke very little if at all - this was a buisness call, not an interview). The one thing That is clear is that Mr. Phelps is lying about almost all of the phone conversation. In fact Mr. Phelps and Mr. Miller were very excited about the possibility of doing this project when we ended the conversation. I don’t know why Phelps is fabricating all of these statements, but if he doesn’t retract he is going to have to face some tough questioning down the line."

Drew isn’t dating: I may be from an older generation, but my definition of “dating” means that there is a personal face to face relationship where people go out on “dates” togeather. A date is when you call someone up and say lets go to dinner and a movie or such and then you go. If you disagree then that is because our understanding of what dating is differs, not because I intentionally lied. (I know that I said he wasn’t dating Kim, and I understand that Kim could be construed as dating except for the fact that Kim had and has a boyfriend other than Drew, and Drew told me that they were just platonic friends.) A deal is a signed contract, and a “deal in the works” is when you are negotiating the terms of a contract. I did not lie when I said that there was no book deal and no deal in the works when I made that statement. We did not have a contract and we were not negotiating the terms of a contract. All we were doing was investigating and testing the waters to see what the possibilites were. If you believe that investigating and testing the waters is a “deal in the works” then there was a deal in the works, but that is only because your definition is different from mine (and from a legal standpoint your definition is wrong - but that is another discussion), but not because I misrepresented anything."
