The First Call

FIRST CALL: (June 5, 2006 6:40 PM) As previously documented, the first telephone call between Michael Tracey and DAXIS occurred on June 5, 2006 (Monday) at approximately 6:40 PM MST. Michael Tracey placed the call from telephone number 303-492-1357 at the University of Colorado School of Journalism and Mass Communication located in Boulder, Colorado, United States of America. The call was received at 60-174182465. The call was approximately 90 minutes in duration. The voices on the telephone were that of Michael Tracey and DAXIS. No other voices were heard. The person receiving the call answered the call as DAXIS. During this telephone call DAXIS mentions his love of JonBenet Ramsey. DAXIS describes JonBenet as "an incredible little girl with maturity beyond her years. I would imagine that her maturity level was at least twelve or fifteen.. .it was past six." DAXIS said he engaged in autoerotic asphyxia with JonBenet Ramsey in the basement of her residence on the Christmas night of her death (December 25,1996) by placing a ligature around her throat and constricting the airway by tightening the ligature until JonBenet experienced a near state of unconsciousness. DAXIS then released the ligature, allowing JonBenet to regain consciousness. He repeated the procedure, however, on one of the procedures JonBenet did not regain consciousness and died in his presence. DAXIS said he was a "teacher" at the time he became acquainted with JonBenet Ramsey and was a teacher at the time of her murder. A Digital Recording Device recorded the telephone call." SECOND CALL: (June 24 2006 11:54 AM) "The second telephone call placed by Michael Tracey to DAXIS occurred on June 24, 2006 (Saturday) at approximately 11:54 a.m. mountain standard time. Michael Tracey placed the call from telephone number 303-735-0021 at the University of Colorado's School of Journalism and Mass Communication located in Boulder, Colorado, United States of America. The call was received at telephone number 66-79770681. The numerals "66" are the Country Code assigned to Thailand according to the most recent published addition of the Qwest/Dex 2006 metro Denver telephone directory. The time difference between Thailand and the Mountain Standard Time zone of the United States of America is "plus fourteen hours" according to the aforementioned Qwest/Dex telephone directory. The call was approximately ninety minutes in duration. The voices on the telephone were that of Michael Tracey and DAXIS. No other voices were heard. The person receiving the call answered the phone as DAXIS. Michael Tracey informed DAXIS of the death of Patricia Ramsey. Patricia passed away at approximately 3:30 a.m. mountain standard time on June 24, 2006. Approximately five minutes into the call, DAXIS is heard crying. He states "I'll never hear her (Patricia) say I forgive you." "I'm never going to be able to say I'm sorry to her. I'd be in a five by nine cell now if I went to her. She meant so much to me." Approximately seven minutes into the call DAXIS stops crying. DAXIS mentions that due to the death of JonBenet Ramsey he "vanished off the face of the earth. I vanished from my family. I'll have no closure with JonBenet’s mom. Her precious mom. I've been robbed." DAXIS then mentions a manuscript that he has been working on that he desires to provide to the world. DAXIS adds "for ten years I've been hiding. I blocked this out for ten years. I've blocked this out of my life for ten years." DAXIS also mentions "I stole John's daughter. I've stolen the daughter from parents before. Not killed them but stolen them. Ninety-nine percent of other dads despise me. Moms embrace me. Dads intimidate me." DAXIS also mentions "I don't want John catching me. I've been running for ten fucking years. If I ever got caught by law enforcement I'd kill myself. Patsy should have gone to Switzerland that's where I wanted to meet her. I had plans for her. My plans for her were huge. My book will be a huge success. I wanted to put Patricia Ramsey in a safe place in Switzerland. Now I've killed Patricia. I caused her stress. What happened to her little girl caused her stress." DAXIS added "I can't go into the United States. They have a warrant for me. If I step foot in that country they would arrest me." DAXIS also explains he was responsible for the death of a twelve year old female. DAXIS added that the murder of the twelve year old female was "a practice run for abducting a younger child" referring to the abduction and murder of JonBenet Ramsey. The Third Call

He again spoke of being with JonBenet Ramsey on the night of her death. DAXIS explained he was in the basement of the Ramsey residence on Christmas night when the death occurred. DAXIS explained that he used the aforementioned ligature or garrote that he had placed around the throat and neck area of JonBenet causing her to lapse into unconsciousness. DAXIS again mentioned his abduction of a twelve-year-old female and subsequent killing of the child. DAXIS said the child was found approximately "twenty miles from her home and walking distance from my home". He did not provide further details of the location of the crime. DAXIS added "I was in a room with no windows. I want to tell you Michael what happened. I want to tell you what JonBenet said on the night of the murder." DAXIS informed Michael Tracey that he had a strong desire to have a telephone conversation with John Ramsey. Furthermore DAXIS had a stronger desire to meet and speak with John Ramsey. During this conversation DAXIS continued to explain his continuing love for JonBenet Ramsey. The telephone call was approximately twenty minutes in duration. The Fifth Call

FIFTH CALL: (July 4, 2006 11:00 AM) "The fifth telephone call placed by Michael Tracey occurred on July 4,2006 (Tuesday) at approximately 11:00 am. Mountain Standard Time. Michael Tracey placed the telephone call from telephone number 303-735-0021 at the University of Colorado's School of Journalism and Mass Communication located in Boulder, Colorado, United States of America. The call was received at telephone number 66-79770681. The call was approximately 100 minutes in duration. The voices on the telephone were that of Michael Tracey and DAXIS. No other voices were heard. The person receiving the call answered the phone as DAXIS. During this telephone call DAXIS explained his entry into the Ramsey residence located in Boulder, Colorado, Unites States of America on Christmas night, December 25,1996. DAXIS explained that he removed an exterior metal grate covering a lower level window well. Upon removal of the metal grate, DAXIS opened a basement level window and entered into the residence by way of the window. As he entered into the window DAXIS stated that he placed the metal grate back over the window well covering. DAXIS explained that he brought rope for the ligatures and garrote with him. He remained in the home for an unspecified amount of time prior to the arrival of the Ramsey family. DAXIS said he recalled hearing the garage door open and the Ramsey vehicle being driven into the garage area. He recalled hearing John Ramsey and Patricia Ramsey enter into the residence. He recalled hearing footsteps on an upper level stairwell leading to JonBenet’s bedroom. DAXIS said he waited until he believed all occupants of the home were asleep then entered into JonBenet’s bedroom obtained her from her bed as she was sleeping and carried the sleeping child down a stairwell into a basement level room. Within the room JonBenet was placed on his lap and he spoke with her and stroked her hair. DAXIS obtained rope he brought with him and formed ligatures, which he tied, around the wrist area of JonBenet. The same type of rope was placed around the ankles of JonBenet. He used the same type of rope to form a garrote, which he placed, around the throat area of JonBenet. DAXIS provided a detailed account of the manipulation of the garrote around the throat area of JonBenet. DAXIS explained how he tightened the garrote until JonBenet was nearly unconscious and then released pressure on the garrote allowing her to regain consciousness. He continued this procedure on more than one occasion however on the last such attempt, JonBenet did not regain consciousness. DAXIS said he was concerned that JonBenet may be suffering because of "twitching" that he observed therefore he struck her in the head with a flashlight. DAXIS said he removed the light colored pajamas that JonBenet was wearing and also removed underwear she was wearing. He described the underwear as "knickers". Repeatedly throughout this telephone conversation DAXIS referred to the underwear worn by JonBenet as "her knickers". DAXIS advised Michael Tracey that he removed the "knickers" from JonBenet and took the item with him after he left the Ramsey residence by way of the same point that he entered into the home. DAXIS added he placed underwear or "knickers" onto JonBenet that he brought with him. The underwear brought by DAXIS was several sizes too large for JonBenet. DAXES mentioned that the oversized underwear also bore the day of "Wednesday". It should be noted that at the time of discovery JonBenet Ramsey at the lower level of her residence, she was in fact attired in light colored pajamas and oversized underwear designed for a twelve to fourteen year old female. The underwear bore the day name of "Wednesday". The telephone call between Michael Tracey and DAXIS was recorded by way of an audiocassette-recording device." The Sixth Call

SIXTH CALL: (July 6, 2006 11:30 AM) "The sixth telephone call placed between Michael Tracey and received by DAXIS occurred on July 6,2006 (Thursday) at approximately 11:30 a.m. mountain standard time. Michael Tracey placed the call from telephone number 303-735-6235 at the University of Colorado's School of Journalism and Mass Communication located in Boulder, Colorado, United States of America. The call was received at telephone number 66-79770681. The call was approximately ninety minutes in duration. The voices on the telephone were that of Michael Tracey and DAXIS. No other voices were heard. The person receiving the call answered the telephone as DAXIS. During this telephone conversation DAXIS mentioned he had obtained a job as a teacher at an "International School". The school had been either remodeled or recently built. During prior e-mail messages between Michael Tracey and DAXIS it had been established that DAXIS was residing in the country of Thailand. It should also be noted that the aforementioned telephone number of 66-79770681 bears the Country Code of Thailand that being numeral "66". DAXIS added he had become infatuated with a young five-year-old "blonde blue eyed little girl named '. DAXIS stated he was drawn extremely close to the beauty of the child and desired to have a sexual relationship with DAXIS explained he was having difficulty "getting off of my mind." However during this same telephone call, DAXIS reiterated his continuing love for JonBenet Ramsey. He also spoke of his continuing work on the manuscript of his book, which he has entitled DAXIS detailing his love for JonBenet Ramsey and also detailing the death of this child. It should be noted DAXIS has forwarded by way of e-mail to Michael Tracey the first four chapters of the manuscript. Michael Tracey in turn has provided the four chapters of the manuscript to your affiant's attention. The first several chapters detail the early childhood of DAXIS being raised by an abusive mother who engaged in sexual relationships with DAXIS when he was between four and five years of age. The Seventh Call

SEVENTH CALL: (July 15, 2006 11:30 AM) "The seventh telephone call between Michael Tracey and DAXIS occurred on July 15, 2006 (Saturday) at approximately 11:30 a.m. mountain standard time. Michael Tracey placed the call from telephone number 303-735-0021 at the University of Colorado's School of Journalism and Mass Communication located in Boulder, Colorado, United States of America. The call was received at telephone number 66-79770681. The call was approximately 100 minutes in duration. The voices on the telephone were that of Michael Tracey and DAXIS. No other voices were heard. The person receiving the call answered the telephone as DAXIS. During this telephone call DAXIS provided additional details to the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. He describes the entry into the residence by way of removing a grate over the window well and entering through a basement level window. He describes ascending a stairwell leading to the bedroom of JonBenet Ramsey, carrying the child down to the basement. While in the basement area, light is provided by a flashlight he brought to the scene. DAXIS described removing the knickers (underwear) off of Jon Benet. He kissed the child's body and massaged her feet. DAXIS performed oral sex on JonBenet Ramsey. DAXIS mentions he brought a "special box" to the scene that contained a "gothic cross". The box exhibited carving on the top portion or lid of the box. The cross, "Goes with a special necklace" according to DAXIS. The "necklace" as composed of rope with silk on each end according to DAXIS. The ends of the rope are tied to the cross. The rope was placed around the throat of Jon Benet and tightened by use of the cross as JonBenet lapsed into unconsciousness. The tension was released and JonBenet regained consciousness. 'DAXIS" said he tied a piece of rope by a window in the basement, lifted up JonBenet, to allow her legs to encircle his abdomen and affixed the ends of the rope to JonBenet’s wrists. He then suspended the child near the window within the basement area. He did not explain how the child was suspended other than the fact she was suspended by her wrists. The clothing worn over the lower extremities of JonBenet was removed this included the bottom of the pajamas and her underwear. DAXIS said he fashioned a new "necklace" out of view of JonBenet Ramsey, and placed the "necklace" around the throat of the child. The new necklace was the garrote placed around the child's throat. Ultimately the aforementioned garrote composed of rope brought to the scene by DAXIS was tightened then loosened and subsequently tightened again at which time the child did not regain consciousness. DAXIS explained again that due to the twitching of JonBenet he was concerned she might be brain dead but her body could continue to survive. He did not want JonBenet to suffer, therefore he struck her in the head with a flashlight he brought with him. DAXIS added that the handle of the flashlight was wrapped in duct tape, which he had performed prior to the arrival at the Ramsey residence. DAXIS removed a section of duct tape from the handle of the flashlight and placed the piece of duct tape over the mouth of JonBenet to prevent her from bleeding on herself. DAXIS added he noticed JonBenet urinated, her underwear was soaked, he removed the underwear from JonBenet and took the item of clothing with him when he departed from the residence by way of the aforementioned basement window in which entry had originally been made. DAXIS added he placed the "knickers" of JonBenet into a small coffin like box that has "gothic writings on it". The small coffin like box was then placed in an area that DAXIS refused to identify. DAXIS said he performed oral sex on JonBenet Ramsey as she was suspended by her wrists, from the basement area window. He "pricked" the vagina of JonBenet with an item he did not describe. He "pricked" the vagina of JonBenet Ramsey three (3) times before a drop of blood appeared. DAXIS then placed his lips onto the vagina of JonBenet Ramsey, and licked the blood from her. DAXIS obtained a "stiletto" he brought to the scene and cut a lock of the child's hair. He used the same bladed instrument to cut the rope from the wrists of JonBenet. DAXIS, lowered JonBenet to the ground. He decided to place the ransom note he had prepared, on the bed of JonBenet and remote the child with him. DAXIS placed JonBenet in another room (the room she was subsequently located in). He ascended the stairwell leading to the child's bedroom,, he heard a noise and descended. DAXIS placed the note on the stairwell. After retrieving his shoes, DAXIS departed through the same basement level window that he entered through. During the aforementioned telephone call, specifically while DAXIS was explaining the sequence of events leading to the death of JonBenet Ramsey, DAXIS became emotionally upset. Audible sounds of crying were heard by Michael Tracey and captured on the recording device.. DAXIS told Michael Tracey he was incapable of continuing the conversation. A period of approximately two (2) minutes elapsed with no verbiage being spoken by DAXIS. After the two minute elapsed time, DAXIS returned to the telephone and continued with the conversation with Mr. Tracey. During several other occasions within the same telephone call, DAXIS became emotionally upset, his voice pitch raised and sobbing is heard. A review of the photographs taken during the autopsy of JonBenet Ramsey, revealed no markings on the wrists of JonBenet. Your Affiant determined the phone call as recorded on July 15,2006 is strikingly similar to "Part Two" of the manuscript authored by DAXIS. During the July 15,2006 telephone call with Michael Tracey, DAXIS mentioned his fascination with he five-year-old blue-eyed blonde student in the class he was teaching. DAXIS added he was depressed due to the fact on July 14th the summer session of school he was teaching ended. DAXIS added he would not be able to see until school recommenced in August. He described the school as an international school that had recently been remodeled. He added new wooden floors had been installed. DAXIS said a "twenty five foot wall of solid glass" extended the full length of his classroom. He described "beautiful green plants" being directly outside of the glass. He added that the twenty-five foot wall of solid glass overlooked a row of large palm trees. However prior to the telephone call being placed, your affiant received a telephone call from Sgt. Cameron Rowe of the Roswell Police Department address 39 Hill Street, Roswell, Georgia, 30075, phone 770-640-4100. Sgt. Cameron Rowe had been assisting your affiant in the tracing of the aforementioned telephone calls placed by Michael Tracey and received by DAXIS. Special Agent Steve Paganucci of the Atlanta Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in turn had assisted Sgt. Cameron Rowe in the tracing operation. Your affiant from the office phone of Michael Tracey dialed a series of telephone numbers that are being kept confidential for security purposes. The phone number dialed was that to a computer utilized for tracing of phone calls. The computer in turn read back a twenty digit numerical code, which was then relayed, back to Sgt. Cameron Rowe. Therefore the eighth telephone call placed between Michael Tracey and received by DAXIS occurring on July 22,2006 (Saturday) took place at approximately 10:36 hours Mountain Standard Time. Michael Tracey placed the call from telephone number 303-735-0021 at the University of Colorado School of Journalism and Mass Communication located in Boulder, Colorado, United States of America. The call was received at the telephone number previously mentioned of 66-79770681. However after several placements of the telephone call it was determined each call placed was reached by a busy signal. At 10:54 hours, your affiant requested Michael Tracey to send an e-mail to DAXIS at Decemberl996@hushmail.com advising the aforementioned phone number provided was either busy or no longer in service. At approximately 10:56 hours, your affiant requested Michael Tracey to call the telephone number of DAXIS one additional time. This call however did however ring through to an operator speaking in Thai and English. The English message stated "unable to connect your call, call back later." At 1100 hours your affiant requested Michael Tracey to send another e-mail to DAXIS advising calls cannot go through to his telephone number. Nearly immediately, Michael Tracey received an e-mail from December1996@hushmail.com advising that the sender believed "CU is blocking our call." At 11:06 hours Michael Tracey receives another e-mail. DAXIS provides a new telephone number of "0116651086290". At 11:08 hours the eighth telephone call placed between Michael Tracey and received by DAXIS commences. The telephone call is approximately thirty minutes in duration. The voices on the telephone were that of Michael Tracey and DAXIS. No other voices were heard. The person receiving the phone answered the telephone as DAXIS. The majority of the telephone calls centered around DAXIS desiring John Ramsey to contact him in order for DAXIS to converse with Mr. Ramsey. DAXIS also spoke at length regarding the development of his manuscript. The telephone call between Michael Tracey and DAXIS was recorded by way of an audiocassette-recording device which was retrieved by your affiant at the conclusion of the telephone call at 12:34 hours Mountain Standard Time." NINTH CALL: (July 22, 2006 11:08 AM) "The ninth telephone call placed between Michael Tracey and received by DAXIS occurred on July 29,2006 (Saturday) at approximately 10:39 hours Mountain Standard Time. Michael Tracey placed the call from telephone number 303-735-6235 at the University of Colorado School of Journalism and Mass Communication located in Boulder, Colorado, United States of America. The call was received at telephone number 66-51086290 the call was approximately eighty-four minutes in duration. The voices on the telephone were that of Michael Tracey and DAXIS. No other voices were heard. The person receiving the call answered the telephone as DAXIS. The call was again traced through the assistance of Sgt. Cameron Rowe of the Roswell Police Department in Roswell Georgia and FBI Special Agent Steve Paganucci of the Atlanta Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. During the aforementioned telephone call, DAXIS spoke at length of his ability to impersonate individuals. He was especially proud of his ability to impersonate Kathryn Hepburn. DAXIS continued to speak of his fascination with ": the aforementioned five-year-old student attending the school that DAXIS will be instructing at. DAXIS added "little girls can have sexuality that is not largely recognized". DAXIS claimed he had taught fifteen hundred young girls. He mentioned he is quite popular with young girls as a teacher. Twenty-nine minutes into the conversation, DAXIS mentioned that he told the mother of an eight year old he was having sex with her daughter. The mother said "she was flattered that DAXIS was having sex with her daughter." Forty-one minutes into the conversation, DAXIS stated "I do not like fathers period or fathers of little girls I loved." Forty-six minutes into the conversation, DAXIS begins to talk about financial rewards he is seeking through his manuscript. He desires an "eighty twenty split" referring to eighty percent of the profits being received by DAXIS and twenty percent to Michael Tracey. DAXIS claims he desires to provide money to John Ramsey to assist Mr. Ramsey with his numerous financial obligations. Fifty-four minutes into the conversation DAXIS mentions he was sitting in his Jaguar in the driveway of the Ramsey residence. The Ramsey residence was located in "my neighborhood" referring to Paces Ferry area of Atlanta Georgia. During this conversation, DAXIS mentions that he also would like to have a movie made of his manuscript. He believes a billion dollars would be made. He desires the actor Johnny Depp to play the role of DAXIS. At fifty-nine minutes into the conversation the telephone connection was lost. At one hour and five minutes into the conversation the telephone was reconnected with DAXIS. Upon reconnection, your affiant departed the office area of Michael Tracey and informed by way of telephone Sgt. Cameron Rowe that the telephone call was reconnected. Your affiant then returned to the office of Mr. Tracey. The remainder of the conversation centered on the desire of DAXIS to provide additional information on the manuscript to Michael Tracey. Michael Tracey placed the call from telephone number 303-735-6235 at the University of Colorado School of Journalism and Mass Communication located in Boulder, Colorado, United States of America. The call was received at telephone number 66-51086290. The call was approximately sixty-eight minutes in duration. The voices on the telephone were that of Michael Tracey and DAXIS. No other voices were heard. The person receiving the call answered the telephone call as DAXIS. During the aforementioned telephone call DAXIS was provided the tracking information regarding the forwarding of the requested photograph to his attention. DAXIS stated that he was "depressed I had a few too many beers and some liquor." He stated he had been consuming wine in addition to the beer and liquor. DAXIS added that he had purchased a twenty one-speed mountain bicycle that he is riding to school. The majority of the remainder of the conversation addressed the desire of DAXIS to have his manuscript published and commence receiving proceeds from the publishing. 	DATE AND TIME: 2006-08-07 4:00 PM A surveillance operation Bangkok Thailand	John Mark Karr aka "Daxis" On blue mountain bike	TO: Mail Boxes Etc., Box 303, 2929 Carrefour Rama 4 in Bangkok Thailand To pick up a 20"x14" Envelope With 8X10 Photo of JonBenet	Identified as: "A Caucasian Male approximately forty years of age, 5'7" in height, 130 pounds in weight, with dark blonde or brown hair combed straight back. The hair was neatly trimmed around the ears and neck. The individual appeared to be "clean cut" according to Special Agent Phillips. He has a fair complexion and clean-shaven. The individual wore a short sleeve red shirt and blue jeans."
(August 7, 2006 4:00 PM) "As previously mentioned the package containing the photograph of Jon Benet Ramsey arrived in Bangkok Thailand on August 7,2006 at approximately 3:35 p.m. Bangkok time. Ihv. Mark Spray responded to a UPS business and placed the eight-inch by ten-inch photograph into a mailing envelope measuring approximately twenty inches in length by thirteen to fourteen inches in width making it readily identifiable. Your affiant and Investigator Mark Spray interacted with aforementioned law enforcement personnel in setting up a surveillance operation at the address in which the item was to be delivered. As previously mentioned the item was delivered on August 7, 2006 at Mail Boxes Etc. address 2929 Carrefour Rama 4, Ramafour Road, Klongtoey, Bangkok, Thailand. It should be noted that investigators with the Bangkok Police Department determined that Box 303 does not exist at Mail Boxes Etc. at the aforementioned 2929 Carrefour Rama 4 address. However Box 303 does in fact exist at another Mail Boxes Etc. located directly across the Rama 4 highway. A pedestrian bridge extends overhead interconnecting the two areas. A surveillance operation was performed at the aforementioned Mail Boxes Etc. located at 2929 Carrefour Rama 4 in Bangkok Thailand. At approximately 4:00 p.m. on August 7, 2006 an individual riding a blue mountain bike arrived at the aforementioned business. The individual was described by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Special Agent Gary Phillips, Assistant Attach of the U.S. Embassy at Bangkok Thailand, as a Caucasian Male approximately forty years of age, 5'7" in height, 130 pounds in weight, with dark blonde or brown hair combed straight back. The hair was neatly trimmed around the ears and neck. The individual appeared to be "clean cut" according to Special Agent Phillips. He has a fair complexion and clean-shaven. The individual wore a short sleeve red shirt and blue jeans. The individual entered into Mail Boxes Etc. and obtained the package addressed to DAXIS. The individual tendered currency to a clerk. The individual proceeded to the exit door with the large twenty inch by fourteen-inch envelope however prior to exiting the business the individual stopped and turned facing the clerk. The individual was holding the manila envelope in his left hand. He extended his right hand towards the clerk made a fist then raised his thumb upward as in "thumbs up" gesture. The male paused for a second or two turned and then departed. The male was observed riding his bicycle from the area. The surveillance operation continued following the individual to an apartment complex located at: Blooms Residence 203-1 Soi #4, Sribamphen apartment 1927, Bangkok Thailand. Upon entry into the apartment complex, the surveillance team paused and did not follow the individual into the complex." The surveillance team returned to the aforementioned Mail Boxes Etc. business and obtained video tape recordings of the transaction that have since been forwarded to your affiant. On August 7,2006, arrangements were made for Investigator Mark Spray of the Boulder District Attorney's Office, to obtain a flight and respond to Bangkok Thailand. Your affiant transported Investigator Spray to Denver International Airport. Investigator Spray departed from DIA at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday August 7,2006 and arrived in Bangkok Thailand at approximately 1:40 a.m. on Wednesday August 9,2006. Special Agent Gary Phillips of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division of Homeland Security responded to the Bangkok airport and met with Investigator Spray. The surveillance team subsequently determined the individual obtaining aforementioned photograph from Mail Boxes Etc. resided in apartment 1927 of the aforementioned Blooms Residence located in Bangkok Thailand. Apartment 1927 is located on the ninth floor of this apartment complex." Investigator Mark Spray contacted the office of the Blooms Residence and requested to rent a room preferably on the ninth floor. His request was approved. During the registration process, Investigator Spray was required to provide his passport for photocopying purposes. Upon inquiry, Investigator Spray determined all individuals renting a room at this apartment complex are required to provide their passport for photocopying purposes. Rooms could be rented hourly, daily, weekly or monthly. The surveillance of the individual obtaining the aforementioned photograph from Mail Boxes Etc. in Bangkok Thailand, continued twenty four hours per day. Your affiant received updates throughout the day and evening from Investigator Mark Spray. On August 11,2006 (Friday) at approximately 4:25 a.m. your affiant received a telephone call from Investigator Spray. Your affiant was advised that the Thailand Royal Police had conducted a "spot check for passports" of foreign individuals, not from Thailand who were renting rooms at the Blooms Residence. As a result of the passport inspection, the individual residing within apartment number 1927 identified himself through his passport as John Mark Karr DOB 12/11/64. The individual identifying himself as John Mark Karr DOB 12/11/64 is in fact the same individual observed responding to Mail Boxes Etc. to obtain the photograph of Jon Benet and her mother and returning to Blooms Residence on August 7,2006.. The photo on the passport is an accurate representation of the physical description of John Mark Karr. Passport number assigned to Mr. Karr is _____. The most recently issued passport for Mr. Karr occurred during 2001 through San Francisco." Your affiant determined through conversing with Michael Tracey that the individual known as DAXIS or December1996@hushmail.com sent an e-mail to Michael Tracey on Monday August 7, 2006 at 12:45 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (August 8, 2006 1:45 AM Thailand Time) indicating that he had obtained the package from Mail Boxes Etc. The individual indicated "thanks to my contact, Akadaj in Thailand, I received a lovely photo of Jon Benet and her mother. Michael, you gave my phone number to UPS. They called me today asking me questions, telling me I had to sign for the package and show LD. I told them that would be tricky since I was not in the country. I assured them that my representative would sign on my behalf and send the package along to where I am now. It was strange. They called me twice. I traced the number back to UPS in Thailand. I know you gave my number for security of the arrival of the package." On August 11,2006 at 8:48 AM MST, your affiant received by way of e-mail, six (6) photographs of DAXIS taken during the surveillance operations. Ann Hurst, Legal Attache^ Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Embassy Bangkok Thailand forwarded the photographs to your affiant. The photographs were received by your affiant on Friday August 11,2006at 8:48 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. Your affiant forwarded the photographs to John Ramsey by way of e-mail and Michael Tracey requesting they inform me if they recognize the individual. Mr. Ramsey subsequently informed your affiant that he did not recognize the individual depicted within the series of six photographs. Your affiant also provided the name of John Mark Karr to Mr. Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey advised your affiant he had never heard of the individual. Your affiant provided the same series of six photographs by way of e-mail to Michael Tracey.. Your affiant subsequently determined Mr. Tracey did not recognize the individual depicted therein. ELEVENTH CALL: (August 12, 2006 11:12 AM) "On August 11,2006 (Friday) at approximately 6:00 p.m., your affiant contacted Michael Tracey by way of telephone and requested Mr. Tracey to place a telephone call to DAXIS at approximately 11:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time on the following date of Saturday August 12, 2006. Your affiant provided a short script of topics to discuss that were mainly centered on proceeding forward with the manuscript. Mr. Tracey agreed to place the telephone call. Your affiant conversed with Investigator Mark Spray who remains stationed in Bangkok Thailand. Investigator Spray was aware of the telephone call to be placed by Mr. Tracey to DAXIS at the specific time of 11:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time which is midnight in Bangkok Thailand. Investigator Spray stated he would remain in the hallway and attempt to hear any verbiage being spoken by John Mark Karr during the telephone call. The eleventh telephone call placed by Michael Tracey to DAXIS occurred on August 12, 2006 (Saturday) at approximately 11:12 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. Mr. Tracey placed the call from telephone number 303-735-6265 at the University of Colorado School of Journalism and Mass Communication located in Boulder, Colorado, United States of America. The call was received at telephone number 66-51086290. The call was approximately seventy-eight minutes in duration. The voices on the telephone were that of Michael Tracey and DAXIS. No other voices were heard. The person answered the phone stating "Michael ?" This marked the first time John Mark Karr had answered the phone in a name other than DAXIS. Michael Tracey asked DAXIS why he answered the phone in such a manner. DAXIS stated he believe he heard a pause on the telephone line and believed the call was being traced. Michael Tracey advised DAXIS that he was mistaken. DAXIS indicated he believed the call was being traced. Subsequently at 11:16 a.m. Mountain Standard Time the call was terminated by DAXIS by way of hanging up. Your affiant who was present during the telephone call, requested Mr. Tracey to place another telephone call to the individual. Mr. Tracey desired to un-attach the telephone-recording device attached to his telephone. Your affiant instructed Mr. Tracey to leave the recording devices in place and re-contact the individual known as DAXIS. This was accomplished at 11:20 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. During the telephone conversation, Michael asked DAXIS when he first met Jon Benet Ramsey. DAXIS replied "I'm not going to tell you." DAXIS inquired why John Ramsey continues to refuse to talk to him. DAXIS added "he should know what happened. He should know what happened to his daughter. John doesn't know how she died. He knows physically how she died but not really how she died. I was there he wasn't there." DAXIS also stated "does John Ramsey have a warrant for his arrest? No he doesn't. I do. My life is shit." DAXIS spoke of the five-year-old student whom he had affection for. DAXIS added "her first grade teacher I'm going to destroy him. I hate him. I hate fucking adults." DAXIS added "I work with a teacher who tried to get me fired but he got fired for indecent exposure." DAXIS then spoke at length about the manuscript and his desire to receive compensation. The telephone call was tape recorded by way of an audiocassette-recording device, which was tendered directly to your affiant by Michael Tracey at the conclusion of the telephone call. During the telephone call, Investigator Mark Spray remained directly in the hallway adjacent to the entry door of apartment number 1927 of Blooms Residence, the aforementioned residence John Mark Karr DOB 12/11/64. Investigator Spray stated approximately nineteen minutes into the conversation he overheard John Mark Karr speak of working with a teacher who attempted to get him (Karr) fired however the teacher was fired for indecent exposure."
