Jon Fullerton testified before he found the body in laundry room, he saw bloody footprints outside and inside. 12/01/2010: He [Sgt. He said he lived with his father from the age of 15-18. 12/02/2010: He said Scott was a loving father and they had a normal relationship while he grew up. 12/02/2010: He testified after Yana died, Scott called him and said he took care of his problem 12/02/2010: (www.winknews.com): Scott Huss' son testifies against him on day 4 12/02/2010: Scott Huss' 30 year old son Jeremy [Huss] turns out to be a key witness for prosecutors. 12/02/2010: Phone call Jeremy says he received from his father the day his dad's Russian bride was found stabbed to death. 12/02/2010: He told a jury Scott Huss said Yana ruined his life, and she needed to die. 12/02/2010: "He said, I took care of my problem, I dont know when I'll talk to you again, or if I'll ever talk to you again." 12/02/2010: Prosecutors say that's the same day Scott Huss was found in Tallahassee with a bottle of hair dye. 12/02/2010: (www.yoursun.net): Jurors hear DNA evidence 12/02/2010: Sarah Shields, a senior DNA analyst at Bode Technology, a forensic and human identification laboratory. 12/02/2010: Shields told jurors that several DNA samples she examined in the case showed a “full DNA profile” of Yana Huss. 12/02/2010: Those samples were collected from blood on Scott Huss’ wristwatch,.... 12/02/2010: ....and stains from a shirt collected from Yana’s then-8-year-old son, Petir Shalin. 12/02/2010: Focus of Shields’ testimony Wednesday was devoted to a sample examined from a fingernail on Yana’s right hand. 12/02/2010: Testing showed that the sample included the full DNA profile of Yana Huss and.... 12/02/2010: ....the “DNA data” consistent with a single contributor of a male individual, Shields said. 12/02/2010: DNA analyst compared that data to a standard sample of Scott Huss’ DNA. An exact match could not be made, she said. 12/02/2010: However, “Scott Huss could not be excluded as the contributor,” she told jurors. Friday, December 3, 2010 12/03/2010: (www.abc-7.com): Husband on trial for Russian wife's murder, day 5 12/03/2010: Fifth day of the trial of Scott Huss, jurors watched the remainder of testimony from the victim's son. 12/03/2010: Peter [Shalin], who was 8 in 2007, testified he saw Scott stab his mom. 12/03/2010: Peter was hiding in the bathroom when he heard his mom scream. 12/03/2010: He came out of the bathroom and saw Scott with a long knife and gun. 12/03/2010: He saw a lot of blood on his mom. He said she died the second time Scott stabbed her. 12/03/2010: When he tried to run away, Scott made him get into a rental car. 12/03/2010: Scott took Peter to his grandmother's house three hours north, in Longwood Florida. 12/03/2010: Peter testified during the drive, Scott told him to say a black man came to the house and killed his mom. 12/03/2010: The state rested their case, then around 10 a.m., Scott Huss took the stand in his own defense. 12/03/2010: The first question the defense asked of Scott was, "Did you kill your wife?" He replied, "No. I loved my wife." 12/03/2010: Scott said they had a loving relationship, that he never yelled at Yana and.... 12/03/2010: ...that he doesn't know why she got the injunctions against him. 12/03/2010: (www.winknews.com): Scott Huss takes the stand in his murder trial 12/03/2010: (www.yoursun.net): Jurors hear from suspect 12/03/2010: Jeremy Huss acknowledged that he never included details of his conversation with his father to LE 12/03/2010: Both attorneys were unaware of Jeremy Huss’ conversation with his father until this week, three years later. 12/03/2010: Jurors heard from two LE who were recalled to testify on a 160-page packet found at the crime scene. 12/03/2010: CST Ronald Mueller said several latent prints were found on documents, but only one was of “value” for examination. 12/03/2010: The print, found near the end of the packet, entitled “how to change your identity,” matched that of Scott Huss, Mueller said. 12/03/2010: The forensic witness, however, was grilled by the defense on cross by attorney Thomas Marryott. 12/03/2010: Investigators apparently did not examine every page for fingerprints. 12/03/2010: They also could not say when Huss’ print was left on the paperwork 12/03/2010: Jury listened to a recording left on an audio device collected from Scott Huss’ hotel room on the night of Yana’s murder. 12/03/2010: During the brief recording, Huss denounces the “justice system.” Jurors strained to make out the garbled recording. 12/03/2010: Jury would again hear from defendant at the end of the day — his alleged manifesto that LE recovered on Scott Huss’ laptop. 12/03/2010: In the rambling letter, Scott Huss’ mother, Joyce Huss, is instructed in how to divvy up the money and assets. 12/03/2010: The writer, whom LE claim is Scott Huss, asks that the note be disseminated to government agencies, the media and LE. 12/03/2010: Yana Huss is referenced multiple times as a “fraud” and a “liar.” 12/03/2010: “I have been forgiven already, and I long to go home,” the note states. 12/03/2010: (www.nbc-2.com): Huss found guilty 12/03/2010: The jury heard five full days of testimony before delivering that verdict in less than an hour. 12/03/2010: Huss' sentencing will be held on January 12th at 2:30 p.m. 12/03/2010: (www.winknews.com): Jury finds Scott Huss guilty of second degree murder 12/03/2010: Scott Huss is found guilty of second degree murder tonight after less than an hour and a half of deliberation. Saturday, December 4, 2010 12/04/2010: (scc.eed.sunnewspapers.net): Trial goes into the night 12/04/2010: “We always walked without shoes in the house,” Huss told a jury, with a slight shrug in his shoulders. 12/04/2010: “You took off your shoes so you wouldn’t be heard, right?” Assistant State Attorney Dan Feinberg asked. 12/04/2010: ...“And you hid in the bathroom.” 12/04/2010: All week, a nine-member jury panel listened to witness after witness in the state’s case 12/04/2010: Prosecutors’ final witness was Petir Shalin, Yana’s then-8-year-old son, who allegedly witnessed the murder. 12/04/2010: The state undoubtedly saved Petir’s testimony for last to make an indelible impression 12/04/2010: And in a shock to some in the courtroom, the defendant himself was called as the first witness. 12/04/2010: “Did you kill your wife, Yana?” defense attorney Thomas Marryott asked. 12/04/2010: “I loved my wife, (their daughter) Katrina, (his stepson) Petir like my own son,” Huss replied. 12/04/2010: “No, I did not kill her. Absolutely not.” 12/04/2010: During cross-examination, Feinberg noted the letter, which Huss admitted to writing, contained multiple explicit threats. 12/04/2010: The prosecutor read verbatim from the letter, asking Huss if he had written.... 12/04/2010: ...“tell (Huss’ ex-wife) she better back the (expletive) off or I’ll take care of her too.” 12/04/2010: “Yes or no, those are words you wrote,” he asked. “Yes,” Huss finally replied. 12/04/2010: (scc.eed.sunnewspapers.net): Boy, 8, refutes stepfather's testimony 12/04/2010: The prosecutor asked then 8-year-old Petir Shalin if he actually saw his mother being killed. 12/04/2010: “Glued to my own eyes,” the boy said quietly. “What does that mean?” asked Daniel Feinberg. “Means a yes,” he replied. 12/04/2010: He then calmly confirmed that he saw his stepfather, Scott Huss, kill his mother, Yana Huss 12/04/2010: Petir states in the videotape that he and his mother were alone in the house. 12/04/2010: He said he was on his way to the bathroom to brush his teeth when he encountered Scott. 12/04/2010: He was armed with a knife and had a pistol in his pocket, the boy said. 12/04/2010: “He said, ‘Stay here a second,’” Petir said. “I was, like, kind of walking (after him), 12/04/2010: ...but when I heard my mom scream, I was, like, running.” 12/04/2010: He said his mother was trying to get to the laundry room, where there was a burglar alarm. 12/04/2010: “She wanted to get there to call the police, because the phone wasn’t even near her in the laundry room 12/04/2010: “After that, he got really mad and he did that,” the boy testified. “He stabbed my mom.” 12/04/2010: “I was like running all over the house to find (a phone), but I just accidentally ran into him,” Petir testified 12/04/2010: Scott told him to tell the police a “black man with brown hair and black eyes” committed the murder. 12/04/2010: But Petir said he didn’t tell the police officers that. 12/04/2010: “I knew if I lied, he wouldn’t get in jail, and I want him to go to jail for what he did,” he said." 12/04/2010: (www.heraldtribune.com): Huss found guilty of killing his wife 12/04/2010: "He knew there were no killers out there," said Assistant State Attorney Dan Feinberg. 12/04/2010: Huss testified he found Yana's lifeless body moments after two mysterious black SUVs had left the driveway. 12/04/2010: His lawyers claimed Yana was killed by the Russian mafia. 12/04/2010: The defense was not enough for jurors to overlook evidence that included a series of 70 bloody tracks left at the scene... 12/04/2010: ...that matched Huss' feet, along with his admission that he did not want to alert authorities to Yana's death. 12/04/2010: Huss, who fought back tears, said that he feared for his life, and the paranoia got to the point to change his identity 12/04/2010: Huss said he removed his shoes before entering the home the day of the murder and told Peter to go to the bathroom 12/04/2010: Huss said he did not report the crime out of fear that the authorities would not believe his story. 12/04/2010: Huss wrote a manifesto days leading to Yana's death in which he criticized area LE and called Yana a liar, dangerous. 12/04/2010: Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 12.
